We’re looking for a driven and creative Manager of Production to work with our Snap Originals team in our Content Department. You will oversee the production workflow of content for Snap Originals. What you’ll do:
Manage and negotiate all scripted and unscripted production budgets and schedules for Snap Originals
Identify, build relationships, and vet new production partners around the world
Manage invoices, POs, and act as the financial point of contact between with all of our production partners
Oversee production for all internal production projects (in-house shows, pilots, innovative new formats, etc.)
Oversee production for all current International Originals, Creator Shows and future local-market Originals
Manage asset asks and turnovers for all Content XFN events and coordinate all legal / clearance elements related to these events
Work with leads within the Content org and XFN teams to ensure clear communication of needs and expectations on any collaborative projects that relate to Originals, including legal and privacy, as guidelines evolve with the launch of new products (ie., Spotlight)
Manage all Snap Originals submissions for awards consideration throughout the year in partnerships with Snap Comms and Marketing
Manage all internal vendors and suppliers, such as Frame.io, Rev.com, hard drive and software needs, purchases, coordinate vendor contracts, financials, production product beta testing, etc.
Find opportunities to target underdeveloped or unexplored opportunities for internal production efficiencies both within the Originals team and with XFN partners
Develop new best practice documents and decks, workshop tools, etc., to service the team and all production partners
Establish a process-based system to set production expectations and accountability with our partners from an operational and creative perspective
Stay informed on XFN team roadmaps so that you’re aware of downstream projects, planned and projected launches, and/or mandates that may impact our production process or delivery system
Holistically support the production needs for all projects within the Originals team
Stay current with the latest trends, techniques and tools related to production
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High attention to detail, skilled project manager, incredibly organized
Ability to manage multiple projects at once on tight deadlines, work well under pressure, and manage a high volume of complex projects
Proficient in all forms of budget and schedule creation and management
Strong sense of urgency, ability to take initiative without being reminded
Strong problem solving, project/time management, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Thorough understanding of production management and operational procedures, including working knowledge of production delivery specs, production formats, and production logistics
8+ years experience as a Head of Production, EIC, Line Producer, and/or Production Manager
3+ years of team management
Experience producing scripted and unscripted short form content
Experience in a deadline driven digital content production environment
Previous experience working with production companies, studios and/or networks
Experienced with G-Suite apps
Confident with Mac OS and iOS
Must be a self-starter and work well without constant supervision
Must be able to think critically and creatively to solve production challenges in real time
