As the Manager of Parcel Operations at GOAT Group, you will oversee the rates, carriers and optimization that make up our Global Parcel Network. You will be responsible for building a world class transportation program for our multifaceted Ecommerce business. You will drive company profitability through cost per shipment, while meeting our time to buyer commitments.

The role is expected to play a crucial part in developing our carrier strategy going forward. We are looking for a candidate that can not only own all of our shipping data and financials but bring creative solutions to our complex model.

In this role you will:

  • Direct daily activities to meet efficiency and profit goals. 
  • Lead and shape new initiatives to meet organizational goals.
  • Negotiate and monitor specific budgets, controlling cost where possible.
  • Guide hiring, management and scheduling of employees to meet key needs.
  • Suggest and see through system and process changes to maximize quality and consistency. 
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture throughout the building and company.
  • Manages and/or provides day-to-day leadership and coaching to various operational roles in the warehouse.
  • Have a well-defined Communication and Engagement model in place to ensure all teams understand the performance of the business and also that they understand the needs of their teams
  • Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed 
  • Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement, and recognition purposes
  • Proactively identifying and leading process improvement initiatives with a Lean mentality
  • Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance labor
  • Evaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectations
  • Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network

We are looking for:

  • 10+ years of operations leadership, fulfillment in a retail environment preferred. 
  • Experience standing up new sites and creating operational process.
  • Experience in optimizing space of fulfillment centers/warehouses
  • Experience of running a team of 50+ employees 
  • Flexibility to travel or relocate with a growing business.
  • Possesses a financial acumen- recording, tracking and reporting expense control
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  • A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and you're willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
  • Must be available for travel and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed to meet business needs. (all hands on deck during crunch times!!)
