This is a remote-optional position. Bliss Point Media has offices in Santa Monica, New York City, and Berkeley. 

The Role 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development, the Manager of New Business Solutions will support external growth initiatives through prospect engagement and onboarding of new business. The Business Development team is not the most traditional sales team: rather than spending your days cold-calling, the Manager of New Business Solutions will be working on high-stakes items like process iteration and development, collateral creation, and projects as they relate to incoming clients. You will touch all aspects of the Bliss Point business, from media strategy to data QA to spearheading launches; as such, your role will interact and collaborate with every team at the company. 

The role includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Managing the new business pipelines and working with the team on action items prospect-by-prospect 
  • Participating in pitch meetings and delivering presentations via phone, web, and in-person
  • Understanding and mastering industry knowledge within the television and audio landscapes, and absorbing key developments in these areas and how they affect our and our clients’ businesses
  • Overseeing launch processes by working alongside the Client Strategy, Media, and Engineering teams to get campaigns to the finish line
  • Supporting Business Development team initiatives such as crafting case studies, industry white papers, FAQ guides for clients, etc.
  • Developing a deep understanding of client marketing and business strategies, goals, and KPIs

Background & Competencies 

  • 3-5 years of client-facing work experience at a startup, internal strategy group, tech company, marketing (agency or in-house). Sales experience is not necessary as this is not a sales role.
  • Quick learner; you will be tasked with understanding and being able to speak to all facets of the agency business, so an aptitude for digesting knowledge quickly and correctly is essential
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; experience in project management, prioritization of multiple roles, or juggling multiple responsibilities at once  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; this is a client-facing role demanding clarity and concision
  • Extremely strong personal organization and attention to detail
  • Expertise in PowerPoint; proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • A media and advertising background is helpful for this role but not required

Compensation

Bliss Point Media is a startup, and we’re looking for someone who finds that exciting rather than intimidating. We’re profitable and will offer a competitive total compensation package to the right candidates, with a salary between $75k - $90k depending on skills and experience. Historical bonus compensation has been an additional ~15-20% of base depending on company & individual performance. 

**Members of the Business Development team are not subject to commission-based compensation. If you are looking for a commission-based sales role, then this role will not be the right fit.

Location

We are located in the heart of Santa Monica right near the 3rd Street Promenade. There are plenty of bars and restaurants, with easy access to public transportation. Our office even has a fabulous rooftop with ocean views. All employees are welcome to work in office, fully remote, or hybrid.
