The Role

Position Summary
The Manager, Digital Transformation, MotorTrend (full-time, salaried, regular) will support the digital transformation of a portfolio of magazines into digital-first properties. The position will demand a high degree of collaboration/partnership with members of different groups helping to execute a strategic plan for complex change and operating within the organization creating accountability, managing change, and ensuring forward motion. Experience with financial planning and project management are critical as well as sound analytical, communication, and people management skills required. The ability to lead by influence and execute at the ground level will be critical success factors.

Key Responsibilities
• Support the delivery of digital transformation across a portfolio of brands by formulating, coordinating and executing planning for a cohesive enterprise transformation roadmap
• Coordinate, prioritize, design, structure and manage the transformation
o Lead and support identification, definition, and structuring of operational implications
o Lead the identification and structuring of issues/questions to be solved
• Help formulate process optimization and execute transformation strategy and roadmap.
• Align complex programs on common purpose and dependencies, and sequencing in order to optimize value.
o Prepare and manage project plans/timelines
o As necessary coordinate, prepare and track KPIs
o Conduct status meetings
o Manage and escalate issues as required
o Continually evaluate project risks and dependencies
o Create project documentation for updates to project steering committee and executive stakeholders
o Complete and communicate key analyses as needed as it relates to organizational structure, process mapping, data gathering/validation, and data modeling/analysis
o Define relevant financial and metric information and coordinate effort to ensure appropriate tracking
Supervisory Responsibility:
• This position may include supervising one or more employees where applicable. Supervisory responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Provide consistent training, support, and mentorship to team
o Review and approve individual timecards (as needed) and time-off requests to ensure optimal staffing levels
o Effective, fair, and consistent performance management
o Fairly and consistently ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications:
• 3-5 years media operations management experience or equivalent
• +1-2 years of consulting experience on strategy topics and +1 years project management preferred
• MBA a plus

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Strong ability to manage complex projects, multiple stakeholders and articulate the dependencies and interrelationships.
• Strong business process mapping and re-engineering skills to include change management and digital transformation experience
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and present work and rationale to teams and stakeholders, internally and externally
• Experience analyzing and using data to make data-driven, complex business decisions.
• Outstanding analytical, project management and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and articulate the dependencies and interrelationships
• Must be highly organized and have strong leadership skills
• High attention to detail and strong willingness to be in the trenches with teams as change happens
• Strong presentation and customer care skills are required
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements:
• The ability to sit for prolonged period of time and view computer screen.

Equipment/Software Used:
• Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Work Environment:
• Work is performed in an office environment that is well lit and ventilated.
