We’re looking for an M&A Manager to join Team Snap! The Strategy and Corporate Development team is a small, tight-knit team who values authentic, innovative individuals that will proactively seek out opportunities to advance the growth initiatives of Snap’s business. As a member of the Strategy and Corporate Development team, you will help drive and execute deals that impact multiple areas of the business. Working from our Los Angeles headquarters, you’ll collaborate with various teams across the company to help accomplish our strategic goals. This position will report directly to the M&A Senior Manager.
What you’ll do:
Lead and drive the execution of acquisitions and strategic investments, including sourcing opportunities, conducting market landscapes, and coordinating all aspects of due diligence in partnership with senior team members of Snap’s engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams.
Be responsible for all aspects of M&A execution including negotiation, documentation, diligence and integration planning.
Analyze potential strategic investments and monitor existing investments.
Partner with senior team members to cultivate cross-functional relationships with executives and assist in the implementation of high priority strategic initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to lead and manage multiple deals with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously
Proven track record of handling complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders
Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to communicate results clearly and effectively
Comfort with ambiguity and flexibility to work in an agile environment with changing priorities
Ability to develop deep trust-based relationships and influence different stakeholder groups directly and indirectly
Negotiation experience, including identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships such as strategic technology relationships and product integrations
Passion for understanding new technology and desire to contribute to team initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of experience working in investment banking, corporate development, management consulting, or private equity, ideally in the segment of consumer internet or TMT.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
In-house M&A experience at a tech company
