Position Summary:
The primary responsibility will be to manage the NAMR regions IT needs including local office(s) IT departments with all aspects of technology as it relates to IT service delivery, end user support and BCG DV IT priorities (local/regional/global). This includes, but is not limited to leveraging a local IT team to perform user/office/venture team support, computer and mobile setups, maintenance and service as well as assist with audio/visual, telecommunications, network and infrastructure maintenance, and all other technology needs both in the office and at the client site.


  • Deliver service offerings provided by IT as a Service Organization 
  • Manage and/or participate in local, regional, and global projects 
  • Assess existing systems and recommend technology for upgrade and replacement
  • Evaluate new technologies for potential applicability within BCG DV
  • Work closely with both Global IT Management and local office Management, to determine IT needs and drive fulfillment 
  • Act as a Business Relationship Manager - Build a trust partnership with the business by maintaining a relationship with the office(s) and acting as a liaison between local management and IT Organization
  • Control budgets and costs, understand drivers, suggest action plans
  • Build and manage external vendor relationships (hardware, software, and services) 
  • Partner with Global Procurement Manager to coordinate purchases, leases, and contracts for office equipment and cloud tools
  • Leverage local IT team to ensure achievement of annual goals and objectives, developed in cooperation with IT Service organization and local management
  • Analyze call and ticket system data to proactively identify improvement opportunities
  • Manage, lead, mentor and coach the local IT Service team members (including potential satellite office staff) to fulfill business requirements:
  • Help develop individual skills and identify areas for growth and development
  • Provide a high level of customer service while supporting all office based staff and venture teams in a fast-paced environment. Support includes, but is not limited to laptops, smartphones, infrastructure, Audio/Visual
  • Support local technology in order to increase reliability, security, interoperability, effectiveness of customers’ work both remotely and in the office
  • Prepare and deploy laptops for staff, including configuration and imaging of laptops as well as data transfers in accordance with equipment life cycles
  • Support a variety of operating systems and applications
  • Ensure proper hardware and software asset tracking and inventory management
  • Provide on-site technical support at special events, e.g., executive speeches, press conferences, offsite meetings, etc.
  • Maintain configurations of all notebook and desktop computer systems according to established BCG requirements
  • Document and update technology related instructions/procedures/knowledge articles 
  • Oversee and troubleshoot video conference and telecommunications systems in coordination with regional technical resources and vendors
  • Maintain problem call history by recording calls in the ticketing system


  • Bachelor degree in technology or equivalent experience
  • Experience in IT serving the consulting industry would be preferred
  • Experience in effectively communicating (verbal/written) and presenting technical concepts to management, peer group and staff
  • Ability to guide team members through troubleshooting all user facing technology including Windows OS, Mac OS, Office Suite, various internet browsers, VPN/network connectivity, AV equipment, etc.
  • Ability to guide team members through diagnosing problems and providing solutions and/or escalating to the appropriate expertise area
  • Basic skills in the following areas: PC/laptop hardware, software, telecommunications, mobile devices, infrastructure, audio/visual
  • Travel will be required

What’s the vibe like in the office?

The Center is an interesting mix of east-coast grit and west-coast chill. There’s always something new to explore and learn, as most DVers have a wealth of business and life experience. Lunches (and occasional late night dinners) are eaten family style and the people are supportive, which helps us all keep calm during high-stress situations.

What does your typical day look like?

One week I am flying to a far flung city to understand big customer and market frictions, the next week we are ideating on how we solve these challenges. By far, some of the most interesting and fast paced work I have ever been part of.

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I came to DV from an event background and was hesitant to take a job as an Executive Assistant – I had never been an assistant before and didn't know the ropes. Over time, I was encouraged by my line manager and others to take on new challenges and my responsibilities grew to managing all center events, furthering the DV vision alongside Joe Takai.

I maintain multiple (8+) mentor relationships across functional groups and at all levels of seniority. This enables me to have 1 on 1 conversations biweekly or monthly where I can listen to questions, concerns, and aspirations, and also share my vision or objectives.
