UMG is seeking an IT Global Training & Development Lead who will be a key member of the IT team, managing, designing, developing and coordinating all corporate office-initiated IT training globally. In addition, this individual will work report directly to the VP of IT Business Development and User Enablement assisting with Technology team Career Development initiatives.

What Bandmember Are You?

  • Conduct company-wide IT training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps to be addressed.
  • Map out annual training plans for all IT users by region, site and department.
  • Develop a plan to successfully market IT training to site management and staff.
  • Design and develop in-house IT training programs that will significantly improve the option of IT applications and tools.
  • Evaluate, research and recommend external IT training providers when appropriate to meet the needs of a particular project or initiative.
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal trainers including subject matter experts, site-based super users and trainers.
  • Gather feedback from trainers/SMEs and trainees after each educational session to assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
  • Develop and foster a relationship with site training resources.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend various training methodologies and technology, appropriate for different IT initiatives and projects to optimize user adoption.
  • Review and improve existing IT training policies and ensure they are communicated and enforced.
  • Some administrative work required related to maintaining and updating training material, as well as tracking and reporting training completion and results.

How You Will Rock Your Role:

  • 5 years' work experience in a professional training role.
  • 2 years' experience in instructional design with proven results in completing the full instructional design cycle and aligned to the key principles of adult learning.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, related to IT, Adult Education, HR or Commerce, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Extensive experience as a training facilitator, in ILT, online and virtual classroom; IT related topics and audience an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with the deployment of business applications training.
  • Extensive, hands-on experience with learning management systems, content authoring tools, web delivery tools, and eLearning platforms.
  • Strong hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate and site setting.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to not only work in group/individual setting but able to drive action and make decisions independently with little to no direction.
  • Experience with multiple learning methodologies to effectively deliver the right content to the right audience at the right time.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. (confident communicator and presenter)
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong business communication (written and verbal), collaboration and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to perform 50% business travel both domestic and international for extended periods of time.
