Riot Games was established in 2006 by entrepreneurial gamers who believe that player-focused game development can result in great games. In 2009, Riot released its debut title League of Legends to critical and player acclaim. As the most played PC game in the world, over 100 million play every month. Players form the foundation of our community and it’s for them that we continue to evolve and improve the League of Legends experience.

We’re looking for humble but ambitious, razor-sharp professionals who can teach us a thing or two. We promise to return the favor. Like us, you take play seriously; you’re passionate about games. We embrace those who see things differently, aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for constraints.

That's where you come in.

As Food Programs Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage program, as well as catering functions for LCS (our broadcast center) attendees. Provide input to the strategic direction of food & beverage programs, and the overall impact on day-to-day operations for LAX campus and off site locations.

You are:

  • Experienced: an energetic and innovative culinary professional comfortable managing food and beverage operations for onsite cafe and coffee bar locations. You have 5 years of experience in restaurant food service management or hospitality management.; you'll earn extra XP if you're knowledgeable in the tv/movie production environment
  • An events visionary: you take simple requests and build the best event imaginable using your catering industry knowledge; you know what can withstand the heat of a chafing dish and what goes on a platter
  • A master negotiator: your disarming demeanor puts people immediately at ease, and you have an uncanny ability to find a compromise that leaves everyone feeling satisfied; you ultimately know what the kitchen can handle, and understand how to turn down requests with tact and grace if absolutely necessary
  • Organized: others can juggle a plate or two, but you can juggle the whole buffet; you're an operations fiend that knows the best culinary experiences are carefully planned down to the pepper grinders (mills only, of course!)

You will:

  • Promote and manage Riot's Food Program as the program's primary resource and liaison in collaboration with internal and external vendors/partners.
  • Design program vision and strategy around innovative and creative approaches to food service, engagement, efficiency, and sustainability as the company scales.
  • Be responsible for vendor and account management, invoicing, purchasing and financial reporting.
  • Negotiate services and costs with vendors and providers.
  • Manage budget and forecasting for both operational and capital expenditures.
  • Create and develop communication and marketing strategies to increase the awareness of program and levels of engagement.

Don’t forget to include a resume and cover letter. We receive a lot of applications, but we’ll notice a fun, well-written intro that shows us you take play seriously.
