The Role
As the first Event Partnerships Manager of Los Angeles / Nashville / Austin / NYC, you’ll be owning the growth and success of the Events vertical within Metropolis. You will be responsible for sourcing, closing, onboarding, and maintaining relationships with Event partners throughout the region, with the primary goal of maximizing revenue for Metropolis sites. This role requires a diverse set of analytical, sales, marketing, community building, and leadership abilities. You’ll work with our local Operations teams dedicated to delivering a seamless experience to consumers and help deliver on company revenue goals and build for scale. Responsibilities
- Source and close new business opportunities nationwide for a new Events vertical
- Own growth of Growth partners book of business at existing sites by providing a stellar customer experience and proactively communicating for upsell opportunities nationwide
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Event Partners that result in an increase in recurring and one-time revenue for Metropolis sites
- Onboard Growth Event partners effectively and efficiently, and serve as primary point of contact for entire lifetime of the partner relationship
- Work cross-functionally with local Operations teams and central Customer Support and Accounting teams to deliver quality service to Growth partners
- Aggregate historical Growth partner contact information across all regions and build Customer Relationship Management tools and systems for proactive engagement and revenue maximization
- Create playbook for Sales and Account Management models at scale across the Events vertical
- Remove blockers, solve problems, and find a path forward through ambiguity, operating a dynamic and rapidly growing business across urban footprints
- Represent Metropolis in the community, local media, and in communication with key city stakeholders
Requirements
- B.A/B.S or equivalent required; MBA preferred
- 4+ years of business experience - sales, business development, operations, marketing
- Entrepreneurial mindset. Must be a self-starter who thrives on ambiguity and the opportunity to bring structure where needed
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
- Advanced analytical foundation and business judgment. Fluent in leveraging data to drive decision making and comfortable rolling up your sleeves to uncover business insights
- Strong interpersonal skills. Success in this role depends on developing trusting relationships with the team, external stakeholders, and partners
- Natural communicator and presenter. An excellent listener, capable of synthesizing disparate inputs into a clean, coherent, and compelling narrative
- Passion for transportation, mobility and/or logistics is a plus!
- Austin or Nashville homebase and ability to go into the office, but open to LA or NYC or other markets.
