Position: Email Developer

Reports to: Email Marketing Manager

Location: Culver City, CA or Remote

Essential

The Email Developer will be responsible for the development, coding, building and quality assurance, and deployment of email communications. You will build email templates that speak to our customers needs with relevant, personalized content. You should be capable of building dynamic templates and managing the deployment process. You will work cross functionally with both our acquisition and customer teams to ensure on time execution.

What You'll Do:

• Develop responsive, dynamic emails using HTML, CSS, and Handlebars.
• Leverage template generators to create beautiful responsive emails.
• Work closely with the Email Marketing Manager to ensure on-time deliverables with effectiveness and efficiency, including the communication of status, complications, developments, and next steps.
• Set up A/B testing content (i.e. subject lines, pre headers, hero imagery, messaging) for emails and/or landing pages per campaign initiative.
• Manage the email database, including audience segmentation and list creation/maintenance.
• Be able to work independently as well as collaborate with other members of the email team.
• Work closely with the Engineering & QA teams to develop personalized and dynamic transactional email campaigns.

Who You Are:

• 1-2 years email development (experience with Iterable preferred).
• Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with Excel and other data analysis tools (we use Looker).
• Exceptional teammate who establishes positive working relationships.
• Endlessly curious, eager for knowledge and likes to inquire, research and ask questions.

• E-commerce/D2C knowledge.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth startup environment.
• Experience with Iterable & Sendgrid, our current ESP(s).
• Experience with Segment, our current CDP.
• Prior experience coding HTML emails.
