We offer complete film and digital solutions for production, post-production, major studio and independent theatrical release, broadcast, home entertainment, archiving and asset management. Deluxe operates facilities in major film, video and digital production markets around the world.

SUMMARY:  The planning and daily management of the Digital Distribution Department and all of its processes.  Digital Distribution Specialist is responsible for the planning and execution of all daily distribution activities.  Assist fellow team members in sustaining a “zero-defect” distribution environment.  Correctly perform all Digital Distribution assignments in a timely, efficient, and professional manner, and in accordance with established procedures.  Provide feedback and suggestions that will help improve the performance of the Digital Distribution department

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

KEY DELIVERABLES – Describes the expectations of the role

  • Sustain a safe work environment for all fellow team members by making sure all safety and security rules and procedures are followed by all employees. 
  • Insure all media is kept secure, by making sure all security rules are followed and all media is stored and replicated correctly.
  • Coordinate the tendering of all media shipments to the appropriate carriers and meet shipping deadlines.  Communicate as needed with client teams, delivery support team, and carriers to insure all shipments delivered.
  • Sustain a team environment where all team members feel included, informed, valued and respected.
  • Assist in the training of new employees on all distribution processes for tasks they will be required to perform. 
  • Responsible for making sure all production policies and procedures are followed by all team members to insure mistakes and errors are avoided.  Also, working with department management to update and revise policies and procedures as needed.
  • Provide accurate and timely recoveries in the event of a distressed shipment.  If a distressed shipment is a result of an operational error, must have the ability to assist in performing a timely root cause analysis to identify the problem error, find a solution to resolve the issue, and then help implement a procedural update within the department.
  • Responsible for giving updates to management when required.
  • Communicate in a timely manner with department management on any issues they need to made aware of or addressed.
  • Successfully operate all equipment in the department including all HDD replication machines, Doremi Server, Validator, and USB Replicator.
  • Have a good understanding and be able to operate all shipping applications, such as Kraken Distro, File Maker, Flics, Enigma, as well as shipping applications for DHL, UPS, and FedEx.   Must have a thorough understanding and be able to successfully transfer both HDD and USB content.
  • Be able to export and manipulate shipping and inventory spreadsheets from shipping applications.  This includes being able to generate reports for inventory downsizing efforts and being able to generate inventory forecasting reports for upcoming volumes.
  • Proactively maintain media inventory accuracy by implementing systems to accurately track inventory. 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime.  Also, be willing to work on and cover on weekends and holidays when required. 
  • Maintain inventory of shipping and office supplies needed within the department.
  • Responsible to complete any other assignment or special project given by qualified personnel

  • Minimum of 2-3 years related experience in a “zero-defect” distribution environment is preferred.
  • Self-directed team player with excellent communication and analytical skills.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND OTHER INFORMATION TO CONSIDER

Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to sit and stand as needed.
  • Ability to repetitively lift or transfer up to 50 pound hard drive totes and up to a 7lb HDD shipment.
  • Ability to view computer screen for an extended time up to an entire shift.

Language Skills: 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents, routine reports, and correspondences.
  • Ability to speak clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to create written communication for co-workers, management, and internal customers.

 

 

 

Environmental Considerations: 

  • Ability to multi-task effectively around distractions and medium noise levels created by multiple conversations at the same time in a high stress, fast paced environment.
  • Working indoors in air conditioned atmosphere without access to see outside.
  • Be present for assigned work shift, but be flexible to shift changes as required to support our customer base as it relates to high volume peak periods including week-ends and holidays.
  • Ability to have a clean and organized workstation
