About the role and about You:

Established in 2014 as a tech business, we are now expanding and are in the process of developing ground breaking Zwift hardware. This is a big and exciting change for us, and because of this, we are looking to build a global Supply Chain team.

This role will be responsible for setting up our sourcing strategy and building our sourcing team. You will work closely with our manufacturing partners in China to ensure production can run efficiently, and all component parts are delivered to them on time. You will source and set up new suppliers as we scale, and make sure our sourcing capability is set up to meet our ambitious targets. We are going to be launching and growing quickly, so you will need to be hands-on to get things set up, whilst being able to maintain a focus on our long-term plans to ensure our sourcing strategy is aligned.

What you’ll do: 

• Develop and implement a sourcing strategy for all component parts, as well as some finished products
• Set up and manage our sourcing team - you will be responsible for the recruitment, management, and development of the team
• Work closely with our technical and production teams to source suppliers and parts for new product launches
• Manage contracts, pricing, MOQs, and set and manage SLAs with our suppliers
• You will implement quality control processes which ensure suppliers are complying with global regulatory, product safety, ethical and compliance standards
• You will be responsible for supplier relationship management, ensuring our suppliers are able to meet our growing business demands
• Manage costs across our manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring our costs for production are at optimum level as we scale
• Manage sourcing risk, ensuring we have the right partners and capability in place for our mid- and long-term business goals
• Work closely with the Planning and Production teams to manage the supply of materials for production schedules as well as inventory levels
• Work cross functionally to improve purchasing and ERP systems

What you'll have:

• A degree in a supply chain, sourcing, mathematics, business, engineering, or other relevant subject
• 8+ years direct sourcing experience of electrical and mechanical components and parts for the consumer electronics industry
• Experience managing manufacturers and suppliers in China/the Far East
• An experienced people manager, with experience developing a high performing team
• Experience in sourcing and setting up new electrical and mechanical suppliers, as well as  launching new technical products into a portfolio
• Experience managing third party manufacturers and tier one suppliers in China/the Far East
• Able to demonstrate excellent supplier relationship management techniques
• Excellent internal and external stakeholder management experience; you will be able to manage and influence multiple stakeholders at any one time
• Willingness to travel frequently when conditions allow - you will travel to visit our manufacturing partners and suppliers in China and the Far East
