Job Summary:

The Director of Retail will focus on offline selling of iHerb Brands, our private label brands, in the US and internationally. The ideal candidate will have experience collaborating with popular big box retailers of consumable products. The Director will develop and lead partnerships with offline retailers. The position will maintain knowledge of the health and wellness market, trends, and best practices in offline selling partnerships. The Director of Retail will work with our iHerb Brands team to understand the existing and planned product offerings. The role will include collaborating with our marketing team to maintain a consistent brand story across all selling platforms. The Director of Retail will be at the forefront of iHerb Brands entering the offline market, requiring leadership and entrepreneurial spirit.

Job Expectations:

  • Develop comprehensive business strategies to expand US and international markets, in global big box brick and mortar retailers
  • Launch new brands, build brand equity, and drive sales volume in offline stores
  • Evaluate sales performance and take appropriate actions to support offline sales growth
  • Conduct daily B2B communication and provide high level customer service to our partners
  • Must stay current with international cultural and legal issues pertaining to offline sales
  • Seek, evaluate and recommend new business opportunities
  • Build strong and effective partnerships with internal and external partners
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop territories, sales quotas, and strategies
  • Collaborate with store managers to develop sales goals for each location, monitors progress toward those goals, and develops strategies to attract and retain customers
  • Develop marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and/or introduce new products.
  • Create and manage relationships and strategies with key retailers
  • Identify short- and long-term growth opportunities within existing and new markets

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required:

  • Excellent business development, sales and customer relationship skills, with proven negotiation skills
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proven experience in private brand selling

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Google Business Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) preferred

Experience Requirements:

Generally requires a minimum of eight (8) years progressive B2B sales experience, working with brokers of large multinational retailers, internationally.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and international business experience or master’s degree with an international business emphasis.
