Director of Global Sourcing

FabFitFun is looking for a Director of Global Sourcing to join the Operations team at our West Hollywood HQ in Los Angeles, CA and manage a team of Sourcing professionals with the potential to increase as business expands.

What you'll do:

• Lead the overall Sourcing strategy to support risk mitigation, country of origin diversification and product to vendor allocation to de-risk company
• Establish and drive execution of strategic plans, objectives, and internal processes that align with the broader business
• Develop relationships with cross functional partners in Finance, Legal, Merchandise, and product to ensure teams are clear on Sourcing’s direction and reduce duplication of efforts
• Responsible for senior leader communication on any critical issues and on-going updates as it relates to on time delivery and production quality issues
• Recruit, motivate, develop, and lead a team of high performing sourcing professionals both in the US and overseas
• Foster expertise, leverage industry knowledge and drive execution within the team: supplier management, critical issue resolution, cost engineering, country of origin diversification, macroeconomic monitoring, etc
• In coordination with the production team, vet and manage the capacity and production schedules through delivery for all Box manufacturing.
• Owns the sourcing process for Box products and is accountable to hold team and stakeholders to key milestones including samples, quotations, cost breakdowns, approvals and OTD
• Create technical specification packages for all developed merchandise including materials, measurements, and packaging used for production
• Work with-in house or 3rd party designers on creating packaging and labeling artwork
• Hold Merchandise/Planning team accountable for meeting product placement and PO issue deadlines
• Drives payment term decisions for all direct import programs
• Build out supplier management processes that are achievable, measurable, and will hold suppliers accountable to FFF requirements
• Owns the management of a world class supply chain and lead teams in creation of processes to reduce supply chain disruption 
• Establish sourcing processes and procedures to support management of supplier performance, supplier selection strategy, capacity planning, cost negotiations, and analysis of profitability.
• Train and oversee team’s performance on how to onboard new suppliers who will be successful in the FFF Business model
• Accountable for the selection of vendors to manufacture products for FFF 
• Set content and lead team in bi-annual performance reviews for suppliers, monitor and track their KPIs, deliver the review, and manage on-going supplier performance
• Drives accountability back to supplier and ensure vendors deliver quality product on time
• Set team accountability on elevating or exiting suppliers based on performance
• Build and maintain supplier management tools
• Collaborate with legal team and finance on master contracts, My COI and PIAs
• Track import trade policy around duty, raw material, labor, and freight costs and forecast and communicate the impact to the organization
• Understand application of HTSUS duty impact at the product level and be able to consult back to organization on changes that can be made to reduce or avoid tariff
• Analyze economic indicators and impact on the future cost of goods in key commodity in common lines of business. 
• Exercise manufacturing expertise, to evaluate and qualify vendors to manufacture hard and soft goods at scale. 
• Ensure product is designed for repeatable manufacturing at large scale. 
• Be the in-house expert on manufacturing techniques and provides alternate production and material options to mitigate costs and production risks

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, sourcing, product development, purchasing or supply chain management with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier development with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership/managerial capacity or demonstrated capability
• Demonstrated ability to work in multi-cultural environment
• High degree of emotional intelligence and empathy; able to build relationships with different cultures from around the world
• Ability to create strategic plans and execute them
• Experience managing a team of Sourcing professionals, utilizing management best practices to engage and develop direct reports 
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate business strategy into Sourcing initiatives in a highly dynamic business environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop impactful, collaborative relationships with team members, senior/executive leaders, and partner functions including Merchandise, Finance, and Legal
