What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Director of Client Services who will help Sidebench surprise and delight our clients at every turn. This role will be responsible for building new relationships and growing our portfolio of products within existing client accounts.

The ideal candidate will work closely with our Product Delivery and Business Development teams to identify key opportunities with new and existing partners. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will be personable, build rapport quickly, and will be a natural leader.

Responsibilities

  • Set direction and vision for the overall lifespan of the account based on knowledge acquired through relationships
  • Identify creative opportunities to expand Sidebench’s presence and create new value for existing client accounts
  • Manage and mentor Product Managers and grow their skills within Account Management
  • Generate new opportunities from lateral/non lateral business units within existing client accounts
  • Strategize with Product Delivery and Business Development teams to identify key opportunities for account expansion
  • Set measurable expectations for follow-on work, subsequent phases, and account expansion via new projects and help hold the team accountable to those measures
  • Communicate and frame the key value creation that Sidebench delivers as compelling case studies to key client stakeholders, champions, and our internal team to ensure constant communication of our positive impact and stronger client relationships
  • Perform quarterly account reviews to plan our longer-term strategy across key accounts, potential investments, and joint venture opportunities
  • Help build case studies for marketing & sales enablement materials that communicate the unique value of Sidebench as a partner
  • Act as the lead account strategist across all accounts and function as a key partner and mentor to Account Leads
  • Represent Sidebench as a trusted advisor across all engagements with clients to ensure strong, relationships with clients
  • Being a “cheerleader” for the team and also the client when celebrating respective winsOwn weekly Account standups to get a pulse on current account statuses

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of account management and client services experience in an agency or startup environment
  • Understanding of creative solutioning on custom software design & development projects (SDLC)
  • Expertise in building new relationships, growing existing relationships, and establishing rapport quickly
  • Experience building business cases while considering all potential risks
  • Strong proficiency in networking and building out an expansive, focused contact list with C-level executives
  • Constant communication with current and potential clients via phone, text and email
  • Being a “cheerleader” for the team and also the client when celebrating respective wins
  • Proven organizational and planning skills and strong attention to detail
  • Prior experience collaborating with multiple team members across various departments
  • A strong drive and a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience using organization tools and utilization software
  • Expertise with account management and regular client touch points and interactions
  • A persuasive and confident approach to collaborating with client executives & founders around tech-driven business opportunities
  • Full understanding of creative processes, development lifecycles, emerging tech and trends
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, written and verbal
