Walkboard is a transportation and logistics start-up operating in the household goods moving and storage industry. We are building software applications (web and mobile) powerful enough to transform the efficiency and productivity of the industry.

This is an excellent and rare opportunity to join a well-funded technical startup as an early employee and gain valuable early stage startup experience.  You will have the opportunity to make substantial impact on operations and culture. You will be instrumental in leading the charge in modernizing an industry and marketplace and making the lives of moving industry laborers and drivers better.  In this role you will work with our manager to help build our network of HHG Drivers and Helpers through onboarding interviews and facilitate moving jobs around the country by engaging with the community.

You will also have the opportunity to grow your role into multiple functions and help with product (acceptance testing) and/or inbound sales.  The sky is the limit for a high performer.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years experience as a dispatcher or operations analyst in the HHG moving or logistics industries or as a customer success/support professional in adjacent industry.

  • Extremely detail-oriented - anything out of place or unfinished bothers you, you’re an obsessive note taker and you document everything like a champ.

  • You are a highly motivated self-starter - when people talk about you, they say you just get sh*t done.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills - you enjoy talking to people and actually like explaining new technology to your parents, friends, co-workers

  • Ability to grasp new technology tools and applications quickly (proficiency in MS Office suite, Google Docs, etc.) - you love learning new technology and seek out productivity tools to make processes more efficient

  • Flexibility and willingness to work in an innovative, fast-paced environment - you welcome new challenges and “curveballs” thrown your way and you thrive in an ambiguous role.

  • Team player willing to join a small, ambitious and fun group that works hard but smart.

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of interstate moving and storage industry or ability to learn quickly

  • Proven success in a customer experience / support position / role
