We are looking for an exceptional startup CEO to lead and own the end-to-end success of a new venture we are launching: a data analytics platform that will transform heavy construction fleet management and drive significant cost savings for fleet owners. Tapping into existing and proprietary data and powered by a robust AI engine, our venture will deliver actionable insights right to fleet managers so that they can effectively cut down on fuel costs, avoid asset depreciation and costly repairs, and increase jobsite efficiency.

Supported by BCGDV, and backed by an international conglomerate and tapping into existing assets and dealer networks, this venture is well positioned and funded to fundamentally change how construction fleets are managed and utilized while providing a tranche of high-value data to stakeholders and partners across the construction value chain. 

What you’ll do:

• Set the vision for the company, and define the overall strategy from launch to scale, and long-term goals and strategies
• Experience in leading outside venture or strategic funding, including collaborating with Board of Directors and stakeholders
• Identify opportunities and challenges, with ongoing evaluation of product, operations and market/industry to mitigate impediments and drive success
• Identify and build partnerships across the venture’s ecosystem and target markets
• Manage competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of financial structure, capital strategy & strategic priorities

Build Great Talent & Teams:

• Proven ability to attract and retain a team of world-class talent
• Cultivate a high-performing, one-team culture across the executive team and within/across departments
• Evangelize company vision and strategy in the marketplace, and communicate to employees and shareholders; serve as chief external spokesperson
• Communicate progress on strategic priorities, such as mission, product, and services

Business Builder & Execution:

• Drive day-to-day operations and continuous improvement
• Align resources to achieve key business priorities
• Proactively mitigate business, operational & governance risks
• Continue to develop the business model ahead of the market

Desired Expertise & Experience:

• Visionary startup founder profile, with ability to guide a company through phases of growth
• Start-up leadership experience (5+ years; within last 7 years);prefer high growth company with funding and 50+ employees
• Proven track record of building successful digital products and high caliber teams from ground up, ideally in current roles
• Visionary startup founder profile, with ability to guide a company through phases of growth
• P&L responsibilities at CEO level or head of significant BU
• Experience managing Board of Directors and corporate/funding stakeholders to keep regular updates on business and progress
• Experience working with, or building, IoT hardware/software companies is preferred
• Experience with construction, commercial fleet management or automotive telematics is a plus
• Familiarity with construction industry and/or infrastructure development useful for this venture
