What You’re Applying For:

The Manager of Business Development - Co-op and OEM Strategy is responsible for developing and executing strategies to support OEM programs and dealer partners, with a focus on collaborating with Edmunds. This role involves managing the submission and pitching of new product offerings, maintaining current programs, customizing opportunities to align with OEM needs, and fostering strong relationships with OEMs, dealers, and endemics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to drive market share growth for our products and solutions.

What You’ll Do:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy Development and Execution:
    • Develop and implement strategies to support OEM programs and dealer partners.
    • Identify and pitch new product offerings to OEMs and endemic partners.
    • Customize opportunities around OEM needs, such as making co-op available for specific model promotions and incentives.
  • Program Management:
    • Maintain and enhance current programs to ensure they meet the needs of OEMs and dealers.
    • Coordinate with cross-discipline teams to develop proposals that showcase winning strategies and relevant experience.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between OEMs, dealers, and Edmunds field teams through tools such as quarterly emails, newsletters, and backend portals.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of strategies.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Nurture and foster trusting relationships with partners and OEMs.
    • Align our strategy with the objectives of OEM and dealer partners to achieve mutual success.
  • Innovation and Expansion:
    • Collaborate with different departments within Edmunds to identify expansion opportunities and prioritize them based on OEM and dealer needs.
    • Develop innovative strategies to position OEMs for market share growth utilizing our products and solutions.
  • Performance Evaluation:
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of processes and tools implemented to support OEM and Edmunds programs.
    • Use metrics to measure success and make data-driven decisions to optimize program performance.
  • Training and Support:
    • Coordinate sales training programs to enable Edmunds to reach full potential and support OEM and dealer objectives.

General Co-op and OEM Information Gathering:

  • Vendor Management:
    • Understand the process of vendor selection and oversight across all programs.
    • Identify opportunities for proactive product consideration in multiple programs/OEMs.
  • RFP/RFI Participation:
    • Oversee the inclusion of vendors in RFP/RFIs for various program/product offerings.
    • Gain insights into the structuring of teams at other vendors and their interaction processes.

What You Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the automotive or OEM industry.
  • Strong understanding of OEM programs, dealer partnerships, and endemic sites.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Experience with RFP/RFI processes and vendor management.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness using metrics.

Compensation consists of base salary plus commission, for a total compensation of $140,000 - $220,000. In addition, Edmunds offers full-time employees a comprehensive total rewards package including the benefits listed below.
