The Black Tux is reinventing formal wear so people can show up at their best on the days that matter most. We design and manufacture modern rental suits and tuxedos that actually fit—made of 100% wool, ordered online, and delivered for free.
We’re looking for a VP of Marketing to join our team and lead the charge on efficiently and effectively growing the brand. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be responsible for leading the strategy and execution across acquisition, CRM, and retention objectives, as well as working cross-functionally with the Creative, Retail, and Product teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and own the acquisition and retention strategies across all paid, owned and earned media channels to drive growth in the business
  • Manage a $xxM annual marketing budget and efficiently deploy resources across channels to maximize the impact we can have
  • Inform and oversee a comprehensive approach to marketing attribution, and report on weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs to key stakeholders (both internal and external)
  • Work with the team to develop a comprehensive integrated marketing calendar, and serve as a central point for collaboration across departments
  • Own brand strategy and positioning and develop original campaign concepts that will help generate revenue, cultural buzz, and love for the brand
  • Ensure brand values and guidelines are infused in everything we do across the organization, and serve as an agent for change when necessary

Who You Are

  • Deep experience in performance marketing, preferably including experience leading the marketing function for a digitally native brand (fashion/apparel experience is a plus)
  • Enjoy managing a talented and diverse team of people to achieve successful outcomes
  • A natural leader and mentor - someone people are excited to work with and for
  • Excellent communicator who can clearly and concisely convey your thoughts and ideas to any audience in any context
  • Capable of moving fluidly across strategic, creative, and execution-oriented work
  • Incredibly in-tune with cultural marketing trends in creative, media, digital and social; has an intimate understanding of our customer and how to engage and inspire them
  • Willing to take risks and have conviction for your ideas, values, and team members
  • Analytical ability and critical thinking skills to process and make decisions based on data, including attribution
  • A lifelong learner who’s constantly exploring new things and brimming with curiosity
  • Enjoys being part of a fun, dynamic, cross-functional team working toward a common goal
