The leadership team understands the need to bring in an experienced VP Marketing who will help set the go-to-market strategy, product marketing strategy, messaging and content, and define the customer profile – all of which are essential prerequisites to running an effective lead-generation operation. 


This role requires the alignment of industry solutions messaging and positioning across the entire go-to-market approach, from themes, campaigns and programs, and considering all possible routes to market.


This VP Marketing role is highly visible and cross-functional, requiring regular communication with leadership, product management, and sales. You should enjoy rolling up your sleeves, have a ‘can do’ attitude while working with dynamic teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


While we're headquartered in Los Angeles, we are open to hiring remotely (within the US) for this role.

What you'll do

  • Refine the product messaging, positioning and targeting. Articulate a clear definition of the target customer.
  • Develop a rich content library and editorial calendar to support sales and lead generation through a mix of experimentation and editorial skill.
  • Test and deploy lead generation strategies based on the messaging and content. 
  • Creating a content library and marketing plan underpinned by testing and measurement rationale.
  • Hire and manage a team of full-time and contract/agency resources operating with purpose and clear direction to scale the lead generation operation.
  • Deliver quality leads to the Sales organization, with clearly understood attribution.
  • Ensure all stakeholders inside and outside Flowspace will be proactively apprised of key information and be furnished with consistent messaging

We’re looking for a team leader with the following knowledge, skills, and mindsets:

  • Analytical: 
  • Qualitative analysis to be able to understand and respond to nuance from customer feedback as well as competitor positioning
  • Quantitative analysis to be able to evaluate campaign effectiveness and unit pricing
  • Strong business acumen, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities to draw conclusions based on data.
  • A storyteller, who can speak the language of conversion rates / analytics
  • Experimentation with intention and rapid iteration

  • Strategic thinking: 
  • Ability to think strategically in terms of what the market need is and how Flowspace is best positioned to meet those needs given our unique set of capabilities and competencies
  • Independent / autonomous / self-starter 
  • Need to be able to pick up where things are quickly and lead us to a solution
  • Self-motivated and driven individual skilled at both planning and hands-on execution

  • Attention to Detail and Operational Rigor
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

  • Management
  • Presentations to other executives, the Board and at industry events and conferences
  • Hire, build, manage and lead a team of experts in their fields

  • Communication: 
  • Writing/editorial ability. Maintaining a high quality bar for brand and content
  • Ability to simplify complex topics to the key points to be communicated with strong messaging skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with geographically dispersed teams 
  • Adept at communicating up, down, and across an organization to proactively inform key stakeholders in the format best suited to the audience
