Ring is looking for an experienced, organized, and self-motivated full-time Sr. Social Media Technical Writer/Trainer to join our Social Media team in Santa Monica. As a Social Media Technical Writer/Trainer, you will work alongside the Community, PR, Communications, Tech. Leads and the rest of the Social Media team, as well as teams across Ring to shape interactions with customers on public platforms and mold the voice of the Ring brand on social media.

As Social Media Technical Writer and Trainer, you’ll also be expected to oversee, manage, and execute social media communications strategies as it relates to the Ring brand on social media.

Responsibilities

• Review social media responses and provide editorial guidance to Social Media Agents and Leads on Ring’s tone and voice, ensuring grammatical issues are resolved and the corporate marketing style guide is applied.
• Develop engaging text, image, and video content for social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
• Develop Social Care Training Curricula, Training Strategies, Agent Workbooks, Training Manuals, Brand & Style Guides, and Quick Reference Guides.
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
• Work closely with CS, PR, Marketing, and Operations teams to understand needs related to format, structure, and the overall look and feel of content.
• Assists in troubleshooting technical issues that may arise with helping out Ring customers.
• Formulate a strategy for the delivery of Ring’s tone and voice curriculum that may include instructor-led and e-learning training.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years social media experience
• 2+ years of experience working alongside Corporate PR
• 3+ years of experience editing documents for publication

• Experience working with consumer technology businesses
• Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames
• An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously
• Thrives in a collaborative environment and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done
• Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines
• An ability to work across and build relationships with multiple teams
• Excellent writing, copy editing and proofing skills
• Experience providing one-on-one tailored coaching of the writing process and procedure
• Experience in adult learning theory or communications.
