System1 is looking for a Sr Manager of Ad Technology to drive our ad stack development across different products and user experiences. In this role, you will leverage your hands-on technical expertise to drive the next generation of monetization products. Our next-generation platform aims at optimizing the user experience with highly-interactive front-ends. Key traits that inspire our technology are extensive real-time metric collection, extremely-low latencies, and ML-optimized ad selection.

The ideal candidate will bring a level of maturity that will combine technological aspects as well as business acumen and overall product sensitivity necessary in order to articulate a vision that encompasses various aspects of the supply-demand chain as a whole.

The Role You Will Have

• Leverage advanced features of open source Real-Time-Bidding frameworks to advance our existing monetization solutions on several properties
• Adopt a data-driven approach to identify possible opportunities of improvement for our existing header bidding algorithms
• Design, specify, and drive to completion new features via extensive A/B testing
• Evangelize the most up-to-date advertising standards and best-practices that define a world-class ad stack (see: IAB standards and KPIs that user experiences needs to comply to)

What You Will Bring

• 6+ years of experience with RTB, display ad tech technologies
• Deep understanding of Javascript and rendering engines
• Deep understanding of the prebid.js framework and community (ideally you have contributed samples of your code back to the prebid.js)
• Deep understanding of the tech stack for monetization end-to-end, including, front-end, back-end and related data process (user tracking, user segmentation, …)
• Our services are hosted in AWS - familiarity with the same or similar cloud providers is important
• Ability to be self-sufficient in obtaining and analyzing data sets via tools like RedShift, Athena, SnowFlake…
