Position Description

The Sr. Channel Marketing Manager will play a key role in assisting partners and distributors in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans as well as developing and implementing strategic marketing programs, campaigns, events, and communication strategies that grow NINJIO’s partner business.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in developing marketing relationships and creating marketing success for our partners and our partner program. Key performance indicators will reside in the ability to positively impact partner recruitment, satisfaction, the pipeline, and sales. In collaboration with our Channel Account Managers, the Sr. Channel Marketing Manager will establish and manage marketing plans and budgets, while promoting awareness of the NINJIO brand and partner program value proposition. Primary duties include developing marketing plans that leverage MDF, reporting against these plans, increasing the quality of partner marketing, and activating new or inactive partners. Additional responsibilities include ongoing partner communications, supporting channel and partner program events, presentations, and sharing best practices across our channels business. 

This position requires competency in partner- and customer-first thinking, change & innovation, strategy development, channel recruitment, demand planning and management, as well as relationship building & influencing business owners and leaders internally and externally.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop marketing strategies and marketing plans that align to the channel partner and NINJIO business goals.
  • Leverage all best practices/tools – examples: lead generation, partner outreach, and events.
  • Act as the Channel Marketing “Subject Matter Expert” while coordinating efforts with channel partners, corporate marketing, channel sales, and other NINJIO teams.
  • Develop quarterly marketing calendar and quarterly review process and dashboards for partners and the partner program.
  • Provide support for partner events and coordinate NINJIO resources as needed 
  • Pipeline Analysis across the channels organization
  • Executive Presentations/readouts weekly to quarterly
  • Travel up to 25% may be required.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
  • 8+ years’ experience with field marketing, channel marketing or channel sales background.
  • Experience in multiple facets of marketing activities including content development process and writing, events planning and management, digital marketing best practices, incentives, and promotions, etc. Experience working with partners to develop, run and assess their marketing campaigns.
  • Project and program management skills with demonstrated examples of end-to-end ownership and delivery of marketing tactics delivered with or through channel partners.
  • Hands-on experience with sales and marketing automation systems. HubSpot and PRM systems.
  • Proven track record of working independently and with sales/channels teams and multiple levels of management.
  • Experience in managing budgets and reporting, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience in B2B capacity within Cybersecurity, Software, SaaS, and/or Cloud.

  • Clear command of direct and partner sales and business development fundamentals, tactics, tools, and motivational needs of partners.
  • Understanding of the two-tier channel model and MDF programs is required.
  • Deep understanding of go-to-market and partnership incentives, solutions and/or value propositions to drive compelling partnership and engagement strategies.
  • Influence and motivate others, foster teamwork, and identify steps forward to address difficult issues, provide clear direction and communication, and champion change.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, communicating effectively with partners, executives, leaders, program/initiative owners, stakeholders, and other audiences.
  • Must have analytical, planning, and decision-making skills; and demonstrated ability to use data for business decisions. Demonstrated fiscal understanding and business ethics.
  • Confident influencer supported by disciplined, logical thinking, attention to detail and fact-based, documented conclusions and opinions.
  • Ability to adapt to the ambiguity of a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen/sensitivity; thinks holistically, incorporates overall company objectives in developing partner strategies and recommendations.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
  • High integrity, with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
