What You'll Do

Social media is the heartbeat of everything we do and say as a brand. We’re seeking a brilliant, witty, self-starting social media manager with a unique voice and strong eye to come work with us out of our sunny Los Angeles HQ. The perfect candidate will have professional (and personal) experience in social media AND is uniquely capable of performing as our chief storyteller, one who can consistently share our POV with the world.

• Strategize. You’ll collaborate, ideate and execute creative ideas with our marketing team or figure out how to syndicate our campaigns/thoughts/ideas through our social channels. As a result, you will own the team’s social calendar.
• Crafty and multifaceted. You enjoy playing the roles of producer, editor, and/or writer to capture content designed for social media.
• Talk to the people. The relationship with our customer is everything and you hold a direct communication channel to the outside world. You’ll humanize our presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and develop two-way conversations with consumers. You are a natural wordsmith, and can articulate deep, emotional, or funny messages--both in short and long form.
• Build a cult. Engage our community and iterate on content that serves them best. You’ll act as if every woman is an influencer and find ways to encourage user-generated content.
• Embrace change. Live on the cutting edge of social media innovation.
• Report back. Leverage both raw data and anecdotal evidence to communicate feedback to the broader organization.
• Team player. You will sit at the center of the marketing organization and raise the bar for how we work together as a unit.

Who You Are

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where decisions are made on the fly. You think for yourself and often do before being asked to do. You’re creative and witty, and put a unique spin on everything you do.

• You have 2-5 years of experience in a social media role at a consumer facing brand, or entertainment/publishing company.
• You’re obsessed with social media and have a rock-solid understanding of creating, promoting, and distributing shareable content across multiple platforms.
• Have a demonstrated ability to craft tweets, Facebook posts, and live social coverage, that people want to share and engage with.
• You have the ability to create beautiful, well-executed content on the fly whether photos, videos, gifs or other multimedia. You’re a great judge of what works and what doesn’t.
• Distinct and relatable point of view on the world. We laugh when we read your tweets. You pull our heart strings when we watch your Instagram stories. And you do it with humility (no #humblebrags).
