The Opportunity

GR0 is looking for an SEO enthusiast with a track record of delivering bespoke and extraordinary client support. As an SEO Account Manager, you will be responsible for providing GR0’s unique brand of customer service while managing 15-20 different clients with competing priorities. Strategic thinkers and cross-functional project managers who embrace the grind and possess otherworldly communication and diplomacy skills excel in this role and add to our blossoming company culture.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies based on clients’ needs while forging and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Maintain prompt communication with all clients, including at least two weekly summary emails, as well as biweekly video calls.
  • Collect and analyze data for monthly and quarterly reports to display progress for each client and set future benchmarks, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, and other relevant KPIs as determined by you and the client.
  • Assist with developing content strategies, determining priority pages for link acquisition and technical on-page optimization, and other technical SEO projects.
  • Extract insight from varied data sources, identify relevant trends, and provide well-developed recommendations to enhance and exceed overall client search marketing goals and objectives.
  • Exhibit a clear understanding of client brand messaging and goals to effectively manage the development of SEO-optimized content for blogs, landing pages, and various styles of PLPs & PDPs.
  • Keep up with SEO industry newsletters, blogs, and influencers to apply best practices or new recommendations to client work and share information with team members.
  • Manage various projects with competing priorities, deadlines, and expectations, liaisoning between internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all deliverables.

What you’ll bring:

  • A proven performance history of exceptional client relationship management in an agency or similarly fast-paced company.
  • 2+ years of direct SEO or digital marketing experience.
  • An adamant adherence to following standard operating procedures and understanding the importance of process and building routine.
  • A deep understanding of SEO best practices and the Google ranking algorithm.
  • Extensive experience creating, organizing, and presenting content strategies with clients.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for websites, an in-depth understanding of technical SEO implementation, on-page SEO factors and site architecture improvements, along with a knowledge of various content management systems.
  • A self-motivation to seek and present opportunities for growth in the customer relationship to internal and external stakeholders, helping the Business Development and Operations teams to develop a clear and competitive renewal/upsell strategy.

What does the hiring process entail?

  • Stage 1 (Recruiter Screen) - After you submit your application, our talent recruitment team will review and reach out to candidates. During this 30-minute video call, we’ll discuss your career journey and professional motivators, while learning about GR0 overall and the SEO Account Manager opportunity.
  • Stage 2 (Take-Home Interview) - Replacing an additional video interview, we will send you a relevant set of questions and exercises, which we expect will take about 30 minutes to complete.
  • Stage 3 (Initial Interview) - The first video interview with a GR0 SEO team member will involve reviewing your take-home interview and diving deeper into the GR0 processes, tools, core values, and company roadmap.
  • Stage 4 (Hiring Manager Interview) - Your last video interview will be with an SEO Senior Account Manager and is our final opportunity to gauge your potential to excel in the role and your chance to clarify expectations with your possible future manager.
  • Stage 5 (Reference Checks) - We’ll reach out to two references for a quick 15-minute call for external validation and credibility verification purposes.
  • Stage 6 (Offer) - If a #GR0mance has brewed, we will make you a competitive offer and hope you’ll accept!
