The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) is responsible for defining and managing timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables once a project has been validated and prioritized by business stakeholders.   As the project owner, this role integrates marketing activities across creative, research, events and the media planning team to make sure that the creative team is delivering what is expected, when it is expected. 

 

The Sr. PM must have a grasp of both the big picture of a project and the fine detail level to critically examine project health, proactively manage risk and swiftly resolve issues. The Sr. PM applies project management standards with an understanding of project scope to customize the project timeline, balancing efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; oversight of production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends; determine system improvements; implement change
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Create and own project timelines and manage resources for projects ensuring deadlines are met on time
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with a high level 
    of service orientation
  • Schedule, set agendas and conduct all meetings related to creative services with clear expectations and next steps
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in a business-related discipline preferred
  • PMI or PMP Project Management certification required, or equivalent work experience; agile certified and risk management preferred
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of project-related experience on large-scale marketing campaigns for an established, high-volume major corporation, agency experience preferred
  • Possess professional experience collaborating in an Agile environment on large-scale projects
  • Possess excellent leadership skills
  • Possess exceptional analytical, verbal and written communication skills, including conflict resolution and diplomacy skills taking input from a variety of people, including senior management and local markets
  • Possess excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with a range of appropriate software tools including but not limited to WorkFront, JIRA, MS Excel, etc.
  • Experience working in a matrix environment and with full life-cycle solution development.
