We’re looking for a skilled Senior Manager, SEO with experience in mid to large scale e-commerce SEO. This role is a hybrid of art and science, combining understanding of the ever-changing organic landscape with the technical skills required to execute. Our new Senior Manager, SEO will assist in managing the full lifecycle of our client’s multi-million-dollar business and contribute to team leadership. This is an integral position within a high-performance, fast-paced team, and will require full Search Engine Optimization knowledge and technical abilities. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, curious, analytical, with strong written and verbal communication skills. This position will report to the Senior Director, SEO.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategy/Management/Exposure

  • Plan, Define, develop and execute SEO strategy, roadmap and KPIs across diverse verticals of clients – Beauty, Fashion, Finance, Healthcare, Non-Profit etc.

  • Partner with team to learn and adopt new auditing techniques, processes to align with trends and impact SEO KPIs

  • Partner with client product, marketing and engineering stakeholders to identify opportunities and size potential benefits of new growth initiatives for our clients

  • Defines and communicates business and technical SEO requirements to Product and Engineering Teams on the client side on a daily/weekly basis

  • Partner with our Data/BI teams to launch dashboards and workflow tools that help track SEO KPI’s

  • Collaborate and develop local SEO strategy for clients with multi-locations businesses.

  • Analysis / Reporting / Deliverables

  • Analyze and report weekly SEO performance. Specifically tease out site performance stemming from key SEO initiatives.

  • Monitor, analyze and report on various sources – Client vs. competitive set - including but not limited to: Google Analytics, SearchMetrics, Botify, Conductor, BloomReach, SearchDex, BrightEdge, SEMRush, Screaming Frog and various other SEO tools.

  • Present (via phone or in person) SEO deliverables on weekly/monthly KPI reports.

  • Participate in and present quarterly business reports including travel to client offices.

  • Management & Thought Leadership

  • Possess a complete understanding of the current and ever-changing organic landscape focusing on best practices, website architecture, mobile search, mobile technologies – AMP etc. with a strong grasp of content marketing.

  • Continually learn and grow in SEO knowledge and practices – technical and strategic.

  • Work with client contacts and travel regularly to client offices for on-site meetings, trainings and collaboration.

  • Complete account management with constant view for further growth, optimization opportunities and new techniques.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  •  3+ years of organic search engine optimization/marketing and SEO campaign management experience.

  • Extensive knowledge of the search engine industry and knowledge of search engine algorithms.

  • Strong understanding of core SEO practices including keyword research methodology and link building.

  • Strong ability to execute technical SEO requirements.

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office suite. Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel are a must!

  • Comfortable liaising with senior level stakeholders.

  • Must be an adaptable, flexible team-player who actively seeks constructive feedback.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and execution against tight timelines.

  • Minimum 2-3 yrs. experience working in Google Analytics and/or Adobe Analytics.

  • Minimum 2-3 yrs. experience working in SEO tools such as SearchMetrics or BrightEdge or Conductor or SEMRush and/or SimilarWeb.

  • Minimum 1-2 yrs. Experience working with local SEO tools/partners such as Raidus8 or MomentFeed or Yext or Rio SEO.

  • Minimum 1-2 yrs. experience working in an agency environment.

  • General knowledge of e-commerce platforms and usability principals is a plus.

  • Must live within commuting distance of Marina del Rey headquarters and possess reliable transportation.
