As a senior manager of product marketing, you will lead all product-related communications to customers and partners to build awareness and drive demand for the full range of Happy Returns’ services across all channels including our website, emails, other online marketing, and direct sales. You will: 

  • Lead the product marketing function at Happy Returns
  • Deeply understand how to scope and execute marketing strategies needed to reach different customer segments
  • Talk regularly with our customers and prospects and collaborate with our Sales, Product, Retailer Success, and other teams to share insights that inform everyone’s work
  • Collaborate with C-level executives and others to design the Happy Returns product marketing plan including company and product positioning, messaging, strategy, tactics, and budget.
  • Own the creation of all product marketing collateral, including managing visual design as well as writing and/or editing all copy
  • Manage the execution of product marketing through all appropriate channels, including gathering data and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns
  • Deeply understand the relevant competitive landscape and be an expert on competitors’ positioning and new developments for others throughout the company
  • Report directly to the co-founder & head of product

We are looking for someone with: 

  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience that can span marketing, product marketing, product management, or strategy consulting
  • At least 3 years of marketing or go-to-market experience
  • Deep empathy for customers—in this case, online retailers—and an enthusiasm to understand what life is like for people in different positions in an organization and what drives them to consider new solutions
  • Outstanding writing skills, including the ability to understand potentially complex concepts and translate them into benefits and features that are simple, compelling, and persuasive
  • Exceptional judgment and good tasteA passion for creating product marketing pieces that are excellent and that achieve outstanding results
  • Deep understanding of state-of-the-art product marketing channels and an ability to execute effective programs within them
  • Direct experience with online retailers and/or logistics is helpful but not required
  • Agility to manage multiple projects at once and respond quickly to changes in a very dynamic market
