OVERVIEW:

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing is a critical position at Stamps.com that is responsible for developing and executing product marketing initiatives to drive awareness of, preference for and adoption of our solutions.  The person will develop messaging and positioning for the company’s products, while being the expert and champion of our customers, their different personas, and buying criteria.  The role will be primarily focused on our rapidly growing and exciting eCommerce customer segment.  Online shopping is one of the most popular online activities worldwide and amounts to 2 trillion US dollars annually and is projected to amount to nearly 5 trillion dollars by 2021.  The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, is a team player, project manager, excellent communicator, passionate storyteller, and organized self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  This role will report to the VP, Marketing.

Stamps.com marketing team plays an integral role within our family of companies by setting product positioning and strategy as well as launching, optimizing, and scaling marketing campaigns to profitably acquire new mailing and shipping customers. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Objectives:  

  1. Ownership of all website content and Marketing Materials.
  2. Primary customer advocate across all Stamps.com properties.
  3. Establish profound understanding of customer base and target market in order to optimize Marketing initiatives.

Essential Position Duties:

  1. Ownership of all website content and Marketing Materials.
    • Direct A/B and multivariate testing of website content and navigation to ensure accurate and optimal communication of our product’s value proposition and to increase conversion rates.
    • Leverage prior experience developing and testing ad copy for Paid Search terms to drive conversion rates.
    • Create product, corporate and market related content for use across the organization including learning center, blog, sales and business development decks, support and account management training's, etc.
    • Develop and maintain clear product positioning and messaging that differentiates our products and companies in the industry.
    • Manage tools to generate insights on competitors’ core business and product KPIs.
  1. Primary customer advocate across all Stamps.com properties.
    • Design and execute custom analysis of customer behavior and usage patterns.
    • Create and effectively develop product value proposition to customers and prospects.
    • Train company stakeholders on the benefits and use of new features.
  1. Establish profound understanding of customer base and target market in order to optimize Marketing initiatives.
    • Get hands-on experience with our products and understand all the different customer workflows to be able to make recommendations of new product features / improvements and educate customers and internal stakeholders on best practices.
    • Develop comprehensive understanding of customer segments and leverage insights to create relevant content to increase customer acquisition and lifetime value.
    • Give product demonstrations at trade shows and webinars.
    • Work with Product Development to create new product strategy based on research findings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:                                                                  

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, computer science, engineering, information systems, or other technical related field.
  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in product marketing, with a focus on marketing.
  • Five (5) plus years of direct marketing or e-commerce experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Understanding of eCommerce customer segment desired.
  • Prior experience of ownership of marketing content (such as website, marketing collateral, etc) desired.
  • Prior experience conducting customer research and serving as a customer advocate desired.
  • Project management skills: can prioritize high impact activities and keep multiple complicated projects moving forward, working across cross-functional teams.
  • Cross-functional leadership: proven ability to work closely with partners, product, engineering, sales, PR, design teams.
  • Highly analytical and data driven with the ability to synthesize information from various sources and draw meaningful conclusions.

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                                   

  • Strong presentation and PowerPoint skills
  • WebEx or other on-demand collaboration software

Travel Requirements:

  • 10%
