That's where you come in.

As a Senior Brand Comms Strategist, you'll represent the Riot brand, articulating and sharing our news and stories with outside influencers, publicists and media -- both enthusiast and mainstream. You'll be responsible for mining content from across all facets of the organization and crafting into proactive, integrated brand campaigns. You'll put your communications skills to use and build relationships across all categories of media that index high with players and Riot stakeholders. You'll collaborate with press-types to ensure those stories are shared in an authentic, player-focused way, and because you're a player, too, you know exactly what that means.

You are:

  • A Brand Communications powerhouse: you've been working within the PR or brand media space for at least 5-7 years - bonus points if your experience (and network of contacts) comes from the game industry
  • A natural connector: you thrive on setting up and maintaining relationships within the media and elsewhere; you're building up a reputation as the best 'first call' for any breaking news
  • A storyteller: you possess an innate ability to sniff out and assemble content and data into unique storylines that appeal to media, players and Riot stakeholders more broadly
  • An influencer innovator: you embrace the fact that players are getting their news, opinions, and ideas from different channels, people, and mediums than years past, and you're keen to work with these new frontiers
  • A gamer: you're a player yourself and a native to gamer culture, so you keep tabs on the enthusiast press and the latest developments in the industry

You will:

  • Become a brand expert evangelist for Riot and sniff out the right stories, developments and news from across the organization that need to be shared externally
  • Craft integrated PR-driven brand campaigns that amplify and extend the Riot brand presence, leveraging assets and resources across Riot
  • Work with Riot product teams and disciplines to mine compelling assets and storylines that amplify the unique Riot brand narrative
  • Partner with the Riot brand team to co-author content and storylines for propagation across Riot's owned channels, earned media and other player & stakeholder channels
  • Help to prep spokespeople for media and other public facing opportunities; anticipate questions, issues and any other potholes
