SAP Solutions Marketing Senior Manager
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, SAP Solutions Marketing is responsible for supporting the SAP GTM by leading and executing BlackLine's SAP solutions marketing activities. This person will craft product messaging and positioning to emphasize ROI, value, complementary value, and differentiation of BlackLine products for SAP customers. This person will also identify and document compelling use cases and collaborate with SAP on joint assets and positioning. The Senior Manager, SAP Solutions Marketing interacts with other BlackLine teams including Strategic Alliances, SAP Programs Marketing, Sales, and Product Management among others, to ensure that marketing content accurately reflects benefits and features from a user perspective and persona. This person also interacts with SAP product marketing and SAP solutions management, among others. The Senior Manager, SAP Solutions Marketing will draft and deliver SAP marketing themes and a content plan combines in-depth understanding of the market, SAP's solution offerings, and BlackLine's capabilities. The Senior Manager, SAP Solutions Marketing will be the liaison between product management and marketing and responsible for marketing the new features and enhancements to the BlackLine product roadmap and joint BlackLine + SAP product roadmap delivered by product development.
Roles and Responsibility (list in order of importance)
- Own and craft clear and compelling product messaging and positioning for BlackLine SAP solution offerings including all SAP solution extension offerings and Smart Close.
- Lead content creation (brochures, fact sheets, white papers, presentations, website text etc.) for a variety of audiences and target segments highlighting BlackLine strengths, features, and benefits
- Lead SAP messaging for marquee events, field events, webinars, and other activities and serve as the product expert. Evangelize the message with both speaking and print opportunities, including as SAPInsider Financials, SAP Sapphire, TA Cook, and others.
- Author strategic messaging for sales, marketing, and business development.
- Partner with Vice President, SAP Strategic Alliances, SAP CoE, and SAP Programs Marketing teams to create and drive joint messaging, and support GTM and sales efforts
- Actively promote SAP product and value proposition within BlackLine, and the SAP's organization
- Drive the development of SAP-BlackLine case studies and build relationships with customers in order to identify success stories, use cases, and event speakers
- Collaborate with the SAP CoE and SAP Alliance leadership to identify priority industries and document industry-specific content including solution briefs, use cases, demo videos, and other supporting sales assets.
- Lead all Smart Close product marketing efforts, including content creation, product expertise, understanding of the intelligent automation space, and product roadmap.
- Drive SAP SolEx business by actively participating in sales cycles as an accounting SME
- Partner with SAP Strategic Alliance team to ensure effective and timely communications on relevant announcements, programs, and performance – with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis in order to recommend positioning and programs to reach new customers
- Develop a thorough understanding of BlackLine's applications, markets, competitors, and client/user needs
- Partner with product management and make recommendations to ensure that product development and support include proper marketing positioning in all communication of launches and releases
- Keep abreast of new features and enhancements to the product roadmap
- Provide specialized support for the DACH region by understanding regionally specific messaging trends and creating or recommending relevant content.
- Support the AMO organization by creating relevant assets on Smart Close, Open Item Clearing, and other catalysts
- Remain current on F&A trends and issues as and use expertise to recommend content themes, create assets, and review thought leadership.

Required Qualifications
Years of Experience in Related Field: 7+
Education: Master's degree in accounting or finance preferred, minimum bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance related field (or the equivalent work experience).
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Technical acumen - an ability to deliver cohesive presentations that highlight technical skills with accounting end-user functions.
- Experience working, communicating and collaborating with C-Level executives and senior finance professionals including CFOs, VPs of Finance, Controllers, and others in the finance department
- Understanding and experience with financial close processes, leadership experience preferred
