The Ring CRM team is seeking a Retention Marketing Analyst/Analytics Marketing Manager, whose primary role will be to lead segmentation analysis of existing customer base and potential customer base in partnership with CRM, marketing and business intelligence teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include list sizing, prioritization and data pulls for use in marketing campaigns and automated workflows. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in email A/B and multivariate testing at scale, with the ability to synthesize business requirements and data needs, while clearly articulating actionable insights for rapid implementation. Key responsibilities also include the development of program-critical dashboards based on marketing and retention metrics for marketing retention program visibility throughout the organization. Ideal candidate will possess ability to assist in definition of metrics and creation of predictive models. Successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable working with large datasets, and have an ability to break down complex concepts and communicate them effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer demographic, behavioral and ownership data to derive and optimize hyper-targeted segmentation strategies 
  • Manage and QA list pulls from multiple databases 
  • Make recommendations for appending and using additional data sets in analysis and program priorities 
  • Use analytical insights to answer business critical questions and provide support for marketing initiatives 
  • Management of A/B testing results matrices and ability to communicate data-driven insights from results 
  • Partner with BI team in development of program-critical dashboards in Looker and Tableau
  • Provide actionable insights into delivery and engagement performance and investigate hypotheses for improvements and innovations
  • Deep dive into large data sets to answer key business questions using a wide range of data analytic tools, e.g. SQL, digital analytics, Looker/Tableau, web analytics, app analytics and BI solutions 
  • Conduct data segmentation, customer lifecycle analysis, including predicting customer lapse and win back propensity 
  • Identify opportunities to improve data integrity in partnership with BI and data teams 

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience in marketing analytics, with at least 2 years focused on customer retention-specific projects 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, data science, marketing, finance or statistics
  • Expert analytic and quantitative skills 
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation 
  • Demonstrated experience building, creating and optimizing retention marketing models 
  • SQL
  • Proven experience managing large amounts of data, including customer segments and online campaign metrics
  • Experience in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets, proficient in SQL, Redshift 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, ability to impact outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, product management or similar, preferably for a consumer product with subscription component 
  • MBA or advanced degree in data-related field 
  • Track record of retention marketing modeling experience across multiple customer touch-points, including digital channel advertising, email, website activity, in-app push notifications and SMS 
  • Some experience with developing requirements for machine learning around predictive models
