Whether it's a theater performance, a popular spin class, or your favorite podcaster trying to stream, everyone needs help producing dynamic live video. It's a complicated and technical process, static webcams no longer cut it, and a proper production crew is an impractical solution.


LiveControl has created a video production studio in the cloud. Our clients install our 4k multi-camera setup into their venue, home, or office, and our team fully produces video entirely in the cloud. Completely live and with just the click of a button, we can make your graduation speech or home cooking show look like a Netflix special, all for a fraction of the cost of a typical production crew.


LiveControl’s combination of remotely-controlled 4k cameras and proprietary software enables our clients to create rich experiences for audiences everywhere. We are seeking an innovative, client-centric Product Marketing Manager to join our team.


As the first member of the Product Marketing team, you’ll be uniquely-positioned to impact the way we talk about our product, our understanding of current and future clients, and the way we approach the competitive landscape in the video production industry. You will be a key thought partner to both the Product and Sales organizations, helping to translate who we are, what we do, and who we’re for in a way that drives growth.


We serve clients across multiple verticals, from entertainment and conference centers, to fitness and government agencies. You will help us understand the shared and vertical-specific needs of these core industries, and to drive our articulation of value propositions across platforms and formats.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Launches. Own product launches end-to-end. Everything from partnering with Product to develop roadmaps and release strategies, through sales and client enablement to ensure they understand the value of the LiveControl offering.
  • Vertical Messaging. While LiveControl works with clients across industries, each has different needs and responds to different messages. You’ll partner with the rest of marketing and sales to determine the winning message, and scale it across our assets and touchpoints.
  • Competitive Positioning. You will lead our efforts looking outside of LiveControl at the broader video production landscape. You will enrich our internal understanding of how we’re positioned against competitors, helping to highlight our advantages, and driving awareness of our opportunities for improvement.
  • Pricing & Packaging. The LiveControl offering is dynamic and customized to each client’s needs. You will help us determine the correct pricing strategy and feature bundling options to maximize growth and meet client needs.
  • Consumer Insights. Whether it’s current or prospective clients, everything starts and ends with how well we understand them. You will help us develop this perspective by talking to clients, and helping us develop ideal customer profiles, personas, and a model for audience segmentation.
  • Enablement. We want to equip our sales team and clients with all of the tools they need to be successful. From case studies and product overviews, to custom decks and FAQ materials, you’ll drive the creation of the assets that help sales convert more clients, and help those clients get the most out of LiveControl.

Who You Are:

  • Experienced. You’ve got 2-4 years of product marketing experience in a high-performing organization. (startup or agency experience preferred)
  • A critical thinker. You love to ask “why?” and are always looking for insights to drive action. You solve from first principles, and prioritize finding what is essential over what is convenient or easy.
  • An exceptional communicator. No matter the format, you specialize in synthesizing information and making complex things simple. You are concise in your writing, and a confident presenter.
  • Flexible. You were drawn to Product Marketing because it gives you the chance to work across the business. You’re comfortable with startup dynamism, and you pride yourself on your ability to ramp on projects quickly and deliver results.
  • A driver. You are a confident project manager who can manage multiple stakeholders across multiple projects, and are comfortable operating independently.
  • A researcher-ish. While you needn’t be a full-fledged research professional, you should be comfortable conducting qualitative customer and prospect interviews. Additionally, you’ve got experience generating surveys and analyzing customer data to extract actionable insights.
