Ring is seeking a highly intelligent, self-motivated, and creative public relations professional to join the Ring PR team in Santa Monica. As a PR Manager, you will work across the PR team and with key business leaders to imagine, develop, and execute communications programs for Ring.
The right candidate will have a passion for new technology, a knack for simplifying the complex, and the ability to set strategy while also executing flawlessly on the tactics. This person will be expected to build trust with key business stakeholders, look around corners to anticipate trends and issues, and successfully support our devices go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop PR campaigns and support launches for Ring devices and smart home experiences.
- Drive thought leadership and unique storytelling opportunities with tech and business media.
- Collaborate with a range of stakeholders and brands to develop and execute successful joint PR programs.
- Manage product reviews program with media and other influencers
- Foster and maintain in-depth, working relationships with business and technology press.
- Manage unexpected, complex communications challenges utilizing high judgment and strong bias for action.
Basic Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Public Relations.
- 2+ years of consumer technology PR experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coordinating PR initiatives with outside companies and vendors.
- Experience with product launches and go-to-market planning.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise high judgment in narrow time-frames.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously.
- Outstanding attention to detail and bias for action, as well as an understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectively.
