Responsibilities: This leadership role requires a great deal of complex problem-solving experience across time zones and a true entrepreneurial spirit. You will be shaping the landscape of the advertising policy team. Building process is a critical step towards scale - be prepared to build a structure that empowers ongoing, sustainable rapid growth. • Build the advertising ecosystem and the ad policy team in the North American region. • Work with the international leadership committee to design and implement ad policy strategies. • Partner functionally with other policy leaders, sales, product, and legal teams to develop new advertising policies and enforcement criteria. • Align local policies with global policies by working directly with global counterparts. • Identify gaps and problem areas in current policy and propose revisions. • Responsible for people management including recruitment, talent development, organizational change and performance management. • Support advertising brand safety team by delivering training and conducting quality analysis to improve accuracy and efficiency. • Work directly with sellers to support advertising campaigns from inception to conclusion. • Establish early warning, prevention and control of advertising business and industry risks based on the brand safety requirement.
• Degree educated or equivalent professional experience. • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills, proven track record of building, leading and developing a high-performance team. • Highly experienced in online advertising regulations, policies and risk management. • Able to provide constructive proposals on different operating models, ideally has previous experience of managing complex outsourcing projects. • Previous experience working across multi markets preferred but not necessary. • Deep understanding of the digital landscape and passionate about the TikTok product. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
