About the Role:

Industrious is looking for an entrepreneurial marketer to help us grow our presence in Los Angeles. Ideally, you are a local who understands how business in LA works. Whether it is being connected to the startup community; having a deep appreciation for the local arts and culture; or being at the heart of the large industries that call LA home, we are looking for a connector who can help us:

  • Reach companies of all sizes, shapes, and stages who are looking for amazing workspaces
  • Spread awareness of Industrious
  • Build relationships with brokers and landlords
  • Grow and foster our LA community

The majority of your day-to-day will be focused on local marketing: building, and executing integrated, measurable marketing plans that drive interest in our current and future spaces throughout LA. This includes everything from evaluating the market landscape to identifying key segments and audiences, developing strategic marketing programs that align with the opportunity and sales goals to building partnerships with local businesses and influencers, hosting and attending networking events and building strategic partnerships with personalized and thoughtful attention.

This role is mission-critical at Industrious and requires someone who is excited about the opportunity to build from scratch and loves the day-to-day quest for tangible results that contribute to our overall sales goals and business success.

You are a great fit for this role if:

  • You have proven local marketing experience launching something: You know what it’s like to a product from beginning stages, research the market, and get to work. You know how to find people and organizations that matter and how to convert those relationships into awareness and leads.
     
  • You are a B2B connector: You have a natural ability to bring people and organizations together. You can see the value different products and services bring to each other through partnership and have proven results to show for it. You have the charisma to serve as the face of our business and are comfortable discussing the Industrious product with senior business leaders or broker partners. You know how to find and yield enterprise sized leads.
     
  • You are an energetic, creative, go-getter with excellent judgement under pressure: You thrive in situations where you’re solving problems no one has solved before, especially when it’s on you to solve them quickly and with judgement that reflects Industrious’ values. For example, you learn of a popular business event happening a week from today and you know how to setup an engaging activation with defined success metrics in place with short notice.
     
  • You have a track record of getting things done, and you are energized by wearing many hats: Ownership and execution are critical to success in this role. From a process standpoint, you’re someone who prioritizes your day, and who looks ahead at the big picture. You quickly identify risks and areas for improvement and act nimbly for improved results.
     
  • You are solutions-oriented: You don’t let roadblocks interrupt your productivity or path to overall goals. You take on challenges with an amended plan or proactive approach. You know when to speak up and ask for help. For example, you learn a competitor is a marquee sponsor of a conference you’re attending and you know exactly what needs to be done to elevate the Industrious brand and value-add to prospects.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years marketing experience, with a proven track record launching products in new markets
  • An excitement for building brands and relationships
  • Proven track record of exceeding personal and team goals
  • Appetite to work in a fast-paced environment with limited oversight
  • Based in LA
  • Bachelor’s degree
