Marketing Manager - Snap Originals

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to join Team Snapchat! As a member of the Marketing team, you will be responsible for the strategic development and oversee the execution of campaigns on and off Snapchat that build awareness for and deeper engagement with Snap Originals. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you will lead the development of the marketing strategy to launch new originals, as well as oversee planning for sustained annual and franchise engagement, including working with and guiding teams and agencies to build media plans, advertising creative, promotions and partnerships, digital and social media programs, complementary in-market events, campaign analysis, tracking and more.
You will be the central cross-functional marketing liaison for Snap Originals with a focus on handling workflow and driving integrated marketing plans that drive buzz and viewership for the content. You'll be a key point of contact with agencies and creatives, working closely with them to collaborate and communicate different facets of the campaign throughout the lifecycle of the show. Ideally, you've been responsible for marketing high-profile entertainment properties and are able to craft a clear and distinctive show positioning and creative strategy that cross-functional teams can execute and collaborate upon. You know how to tell stories, on any platform that drive fan anticipation and engagement. Must have a love for entertainment and pop culture.
What you’ll do:
Plan, Develop & Execute Full Year Strategy Marketing Plans
Manage the process start to finish for strategy, development and execution of year-round integrated marketing plans. Build and execute overall strategy and execution for Snap Originals brand and series marketing, including creation of goals, approach, audience targets, positioning, creative guidance, and overall communication and engagement strategy.
Serve as the strategic leader and voice for Snap Originals marketing, focused on building strong brands and effective campaigns for Snapchat’s slate of original content.
Cultivate positive relationships and partner with appropriate internal teams (Development, Comms, Creative etc.), external agencies, production partners, and talent to plan, manage, and oversee the execution of brand marketing deliverables.
Able to effectively communicate different facets of their campaigns to executives, external production partners, talent and talent representatives.
Lead cross-functional team planning across campaigns, including leading key meetings, developing campaign recaps and updates, and using project documents, such as marketing trackers, timelines, status reports, budget review, etc. to ensure execution against goals.
Measure & Understand Market Performance
Monitor, analyze, and measure the effectiveness of brand and consumer marketing initiatives to develop insights and make real-time and forward looking recommendations.
Partner with media team to develop brand and performance driven media plans that effectively promote content.
Develop and oversee measurement dashboard for marketing initiatives.
Leverage learnings and insights for optimizations and future plan development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or equivalent experience.
7+ years in consumer marketing experience, with strong preference given to candidates with experience in marketing entertainment based original programming.
Preferred Qualifications:
Have ran creatively led 360-campaigns, from show strategy to executing the tactics, both paid and organic, and delivering results.
Track record of strong creative judgement that engages a mass audience.
Experience working directly with talent, representation and creators to partner on campaigns. Able to guide creative input, development and execution from concept to completion.
Advanced decision-making skills with proven ability to lead, influence, align and inspire teams, including those who are not direct reports.
Effective collaborator in a fast paced, multifaceted environment. We will typically have multiple launch campaigns happening at once.
Highly data-driven possessing strong ability to use insights to frame recommendations and results into concise and actionable reports
