Bird is a last-mile electric vehicle sharing company dedicated to bringing safe, low-cost, environmentally-friendly transportation solutions to communities across the world. We provide a fleet of electric, shared scooters that can be accessed via smartphone. Bird is headquartered in Venice, California and is rapidly expanding across the country and the world.

You will be responsible for ensuring that any Bird event and Bird’s involvement in a third party event is a spot-on representation of the Bird brand and mission. If you are a highly organized, creative and passionate person with event and sponsorship experience, this is a great new home for you.

What You'll Do:

• As a member of the marketing team, you will build, scale and manage a team of individuals who will run all Bird events and events Bird sponsors
• Identify and negotiate sponsorship opportunities
• Create and execute Bird community events Partner closely with the Public Affairs and Government Partnerships teams to ensure that Bird’s brand is represented accurately

Qualifications:

• A passion for Bird, and drive to make an impact while continuing to learn from and mentor others
• Directly relevant event management and coordination experience, 5+ years
• A self-starter, able to run with projects with (at times) minimal direction
• Flexibility, adaptability and openness: ability to juggle multiple projects at once and unphased by change whenever it happens (because in this environment things can and do often shift very quickly
• Proven experience negotiating event-related contracts and sponsorships
• Ability to build, scale and lead teams with varying experience levels and from diverse geographies
• Team-oriented mentality and willingness to help other team members across the organization
