Bird is a last-mile electric vehicle sharing company dedicated to bringing safe, low-cost, environmentally-friendly transportation solutions to communities across the world. We provide a fleet of electric, shared scooters that can be accessed via smartphone. Bird is headquartered in Venice, California and is rapidly expanding across the country and the world.

You will be part of the mission-critical team that helps bring the Bird story and vision to life for media and industry influencers.

What You'll Need:

• Evangelize Bird’s corporate narrative and mission in creative ways to existing and new audiences; partner closely with international counterparts to ensure programs can scale globally
• Build relationships with key media, industry analysts, bloggers and influencers
• Work closely with spokespeople to prepare them for media interviews and speaking engagements
• Develop and create PR materials such as press releases, blog posts, reactive statements, communications plans, briefing materials and key message points
• Engage on crisis communications
• Pitch and place executives for high level speaking engagements

Qualifications:

• A passion for Bird, and drive to make an impact while continuing to learn from and mentor others
• 7+ years experience (mix of agency/in house experience preferred)Meaningful relationships with relevant media and influencers
• Ability to develop and execute programs that might come together last minute and lack all of the desired or relevant details
• Skilled at prioritizing and re-prioritizing based on shifting business needs
• Effective communicator who is not afraid to throw out an idea or challenge an existing one to help advance Bird’s mission
• Team-oriented mentality and willingness to help other team members across the organization
• Flexible, adaptable and open: able to juggle multiple projects at once and unphased by change whenever it happens (because in this environment things can and do often shift very quickly
