Position Summary:

The Event Marketing Specialist will help strategize, produce and oversee all B2B and B2C events for EVgo including EV charging station openings/ribbon cuttings and tradeshows and conferences. They will also liaise with internal departments on event planning and execution. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in executing corporate events and bring a high level of creativity and passion for producing high-profile, buzzworthy events. Travel is a requirement for this role.


  • Direct the planning, development and execution of all EVgo external marketing events. Including: trade shows for both B2C and B2B conferences, EV station ribbon cuttings, station grand openings, partner events, local community engagements, VIP Events, webinars, other virtual events.
  • For trade shows, manage the floor plan development, signage, logistics, creative aspects, graphics, install and dismantle and vendor management.
  • Manage booth selection, ordering of utilities and services, hotel bookings, badges and communication of all events related activities to company and partners.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to develop strategy and storytelling for the event.
  • Coordinate schedules, logistics and communication for sales meetings and customer dinners
  • Manage all pre and post show e-marketing campaigns and leads collected.
  • Collaborate with social media manager and external PR firm on press announcements.
  • Track and evaluate the shows and activities to ensure accurate & measurable objectives.
  • Manage all assigned budgets relating to shows/events providing preliminary, forecasts and final budget reconciliation.
  • Uphold all brand guidelines across trade show and all related event materials.
  • 3+ years of trade show experience preferred. Must be able to travel – About 20% travel and over weekends.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office specifically Excel
  • Track record of planning and delivering fully integrated, measurable events, tradeshows, advertising, and communication projects of all sizes
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Solid understanding of events, marketing, and communications best practices
  • Experience managing budgets, projects and outside resources
  • Excellent communicator: verbal and written
  • Ability to travel
