Primary Responsibilities:
 

  • Own our customer acquisition data model, full stop.  You’ll need to look at the full data-driven picture, from data search trends, impressions, CTR, CPL, and conversion rates to CAC, retention, referral likelihood, and social engagement.  Dive into those details, understand how they all come together, unpack the learnings, derive conclusions, establish hypotheses, launch tests, react accordingly, and repeat. Go even further and build conversion likelihood models to help us refine our targets and drive up subscribers while driving down costs.  If this isn’t you, no worries, but please do us all a favor and stop reading!   

  • Lead all paid media initiatives and campaigns, including (but not limited to) search, social, display, retargeting, and lead generation. Run, optimize, and scale accordingly. Proactively recommend, test, and drive media mix based on results.

  • Get super-tactical, roll up your sleeves, and own all operational and project management components of customer acquisition.  Note: We are not looking for someone who lives in the clouds.  While you clearly need to step back to see the bigger picture, we need someone who goes deep into the dirty details when it comes to bringing our vision to life.

  • Own and improve all channel / campaign performance KPIs (CPL, CAC, and payback) across different platforms.

  • Supervise all acquisition media buying.

  • Create, execute, and enhance messaging and content strategies.

  • Lead our conversion optimization A/B testing practice.  Run the data analysis & related activities to increase our user registration & subscription rates.

  • Help build and then manage a highly integrated team of marketers driving our online acquisition programs. Work with outside agencies as needed.  

  • Drive Product Marketing initiatives to educate our customer base, drive up adoption/usage, and help with churn-mitigation programs as needed.

  • Act as in-house expert on marketing attribution, helping us move beyond last-click attribution and build better data-driven customer growth models.

  • Research and stay up to date with new digital trends, platforms, and experiences that can help inform our strategy.

  • Team builder.  Experience in building and leading teams
