Director, Content Marketing and Optimization

Telesign is seeking a Director of Content Strategy to join our team! You'll become a Telesign product expert and evolve the company's voice & tone and key messaging to drive awareness, thought leadership, and support new marketing initiatives. In addition, you will manage the teams and agencies responsible for sharing the Telesign story in all external-facing messaging.
What you'll do:
- Content marketing strategy: Work cross functionally and with all levels in the organization, including senior executives, to identify and understand business objectives, translate them to content marketing strategies, and provide content marketing solutions to business teams. You'll have a team of writers, but will need to keep your skills sharp with some blog writing, video scripts, eBooks, online course outlines, webpages, ghostwriting, external research partnerships, and more.
- Marketing research: Work with Telesign's growth and insights teams to develop content marketing hypotheses, test ideas and create marketing strategies that are informed by consumer research and data. Own customer personas and related customer journey mapping. Identify content needed throughout the customer lifecycle, conduct a gap content analysis and create needed content. Plan and execute annual content planning sessions with senior leaders throughout marketing, sales and product to present findings, make recommendations, and determine content roadmap for the next year.
- Thought leadership: Develop and maintain a thought leadership platform for executive team members. Develop and ghost write unique content including blog posts, social media posts, and journal articles that position the executive team as leaders in the mobile security space.
- Measurement & optimization: Create and implement a robust measurement and reporting strategy with established benchmarks and clear goals that connect to conversions, providing the entire marketing organization with key insights and actions to inform and adjust our content strategy. Constantly A/B test emails, webpages, and content types, to test and refine the content strategy.
- Voice & tone development: Set the direction for, manage, and evolve the corporate voice and tone, writing style guide, and glossary of terms. Ensure all company communications are aligned with the brand by overseeing the application of these guidelines in every internal and external touchpoint.
- Team leadership: You will lead a team that will develop marketing content based on our target personas, customer journey, and use case research. Your team will partner with the Integrated Marketing and Creative Studio teams for asset creation, demand generation, measurement, and optimization, while keeping a constant focus on SEO impact.
- Content calendar: Monitor industry news, company announcements, key initiatives and own the evolving content calendar to align the entire company in its efforts to position Telesign as the leader in digital identity.
About You:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail.
- You have an entrepreneurial approach and proactively develop insights from data delivering actionable recommendations to promote business objectives.
- You have a passion for understanding and empathizing with customer needs to translate technical product information into easy-to-understand content.
- Results-driven marketer with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience analyzing user data and reporting on acquisition, retention, and brand metrics.
- You're well organized and admire a good content calendar that aligns the team and ensure each deliverable is on time and exceeds expectation.
- Experience in all forms of content creation, long form, short form, social, and DG focused content.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in content marketing including 5+ years leading teams of 3-5 people, designing and implementing content strategies, developing marketing programs, and writing content.
- Experience within mobile identity, cloud communications/CPaaS, or enterprise fraud management is a plus
- Familiarity with content translation and how your content will play in other cultures.
