FIGS is looking for an awesome and articulate Director of Brand Voice to join our growing team. You are a creative at heart and live for storytelling through copy and art. You will be a critical leader of the FIGS team driving the narrative across all marketing projects. We are looking for someone who can communicate and elevate the brand voice using your creative vision and copy prowess. You will be reporting to the CEO.

What you’ll do: 

  • Contribute to the evolution and articulation of the brand voice and identity
  • Ensure copy is aligned with the brand’s tone, voice, style, and personality within content deliverables
  • Bring new content ideas and formats of storytelling to FIGS
  • Be an internal content expert identify trends and opportunities for FIGS to innovate in new ways
  • Write, edit, and oversee the creation of all brand copy, from email to large scale marketing campaigns. 
  • Partner effectively with a cross-department team to ensure campaigns and projects are cohesive, elevated, and well-executed
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Creative to input into asset creation planning and plan for annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly content deliverables (and marketing shoots)
  • Effectively manage and mentor a team of copywriters, to ensure projects are delivered on time and reflect the brand voice
  • Input into key success metrics and track the reach and effectiveness of our content to engage and inspire different target segments across all channels
  • Compose ecommerce content, such as promotional emails, product copy, advertisements, FIGS’ blog, website content and banner ads 
  • Remain current of emerging industry innovations and best practices in ecommerce creative; share updates with team members as necessary

Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of copywriting experience in an agency, ecommerce or digital marketing industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Creative Writing, English or Journalism
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to art, design, graphics and typography

  • Ability to take feedback with grace and professionalism, and always come back with something better
