The Director of Acquisition Marketing will have the opportunity to lead channel strategy on the Acquisition team for Thrive Market. This is an exciting role for someone looking to take their marketing skills to the next level by scaling new and existing programs. Someone who enjoys turning data into action and has an inherent curiosity and desire to learn through testing will love this role. This role reports directly into the Sr. Director of Growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive channel specific customer acquisition strategy that aligns to the overall goals for growth
- Oversee channel performance and be accountable for traffic quality by reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly results against forecasted targets
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly reporting plus ad hoc analysis to determine short and long term optimizations, support forecasting needs, and adjusting strategy
- Be in persistent pursuit of new acquisition opportunities while balancing, cultivating, and growing existing relationships for ongoing scale
- Develop and execute an ongoing testing roadmap to improve channel performance and align with the overall marketing strategy
- Identify and utilize optimization strategies such as creative, messaging, audience, targeting and landing page tests to continuously improve performance
- Partner closely cross functional teams including analytics and tech to build growth solutions that improve channel performance and efficiency of managing campaigns
- Partner with internal stakeholders in marketing, creative, UX and product to share best practices, test results and channel performance to ensure cross functional alignment
- Manage third party ad platform vendors to ensure we are receiving first class sales support and are positioned to take advantage of new betas and platform changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field.
- 7+ years of user acquisition marketing, specifically in acquisition and/or performance marketing
- Hands on experience in digital marketing platforms like Google Ads and/or Facebook Ads
- Well versed in mobile app marketing including measurement, platforms and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage, optimize and scale million dollar performance marketing budgets
- Highly analytical; comfortable working with large data sets, optimizing for KPIs, and turning analysis into action
- Excellent communication (written, verbal & presentation) skills
- Proven track record for solving problems through technology
- Experience managing third party providers
- Experience managing a team
- Plus: Experience in subscription, e-commerce and/or health, grocery or wellness advertising
