PlayVS is hiring! We are driving towards our goal of becoming the premier platform for amateur esports. Our vision started with creating school sanctioned leagues for esports players to enjoy the same opportunities as all other high school athletes. We achieved an exclusive partnership with the National Federation of High Schools and are working in tandem with governing school bodies to give our players the best Varsity Esports experience possible. Teams can compete for championships just like every other high school sport. With investor confidence, we launched our College platform and strategy at the beginning of 2020, and are already seeing great success at scale. 

 

We are beginning our hyper growth journey, with the dream of being a Los Angeles based tech unicorn!

 

The Central Operations Team: 

 

The Central Operations team is responsible for our external growth strategy. We build strategic partnerships with game publishers, state associations, governing school bodies, super coaches and brand ambassadors to continuously drive growth in our product offerings and user base. 

This role will work to build our community strategy and offline experiences. We are looking for someone who is strategically minded, data driven, experimental and has the ability to drive projects to completion. You’ll be involved in every aspect of our community operations as we rapidly expand across the country. 

 

What you'll do:

 

  • Manage and scale multiple priority projects to drive growth
  • Collaborate with team members across multiple orgs to drive outcomes and maintain constant communication for complete visibility across teams
  • Identify strategic opportunities to drive engagement and growth across all users
  • Build loyalty and brand affinity through online and offline events across the PlayVS Community
  • Be a hard-working multi-tasker, supporting teams across the region. You’ll be one of the go to people when the business requires solutions to fire drills.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 2+ years of strategic consulting, business intelligence, marketing or related experience
  • Strong Excel and data management skills, experience with SQL is a big plus 
  • Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and build strong relationships with key business partners
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution 
  • Willingness to be an Explorer – the ability to autonomously own a creative and data driven strategy from ideation to execution
  • Experience working in an operations organization at a fast paced start up 
  • A “get it done” attitude with a bias toward action
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and continuously evolving environment
