Are you an outgoing communications professional and experienced community manager looking to leave your mark on one of the most exciting female-forward tech startups in Santa Monica?

As a Community Manager you will create and lead the community engagement strategy for MixR both on our own platform and on social media. You will be on the forefront of the conversation with our members, customers and community. You’ll be the outward voice of the MixR brand as well as the customer voice internally which will influence how we ultimately promote and develop key features and experiences for our customers. What you’ll do:

Engagement:

• Build, implement and lead execution of the community engagement strategy on the MixR platform

• Manage current communities on MixR (quickly react to posts, answer questions, come up with questions and engaging posts for each community, elevate items to team to review)

• Serve as the internal point of contact for MixR members

• Organize community MixRs (events) to drive community engagement

• Research active community members, keep them engaged and find new ways to expand collaboration

• Serve as the voice of community in internal conversations

• Surface MixR members/clients to feature in marketing materials

• Identify community members who may wish to serve as ambassadors for MixR

Social Media:

• Build MixR’s brand across social channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin

• Responsible for posting content to ensure key traction and engagement goals are met

• Monitor social spaces and conversations across social media and engage MixR in these conversations

• Increase following and engagement on our social platforms

• Brainstorm on fun and innovative campaigns we could do to gain more visibility

• Report analytics  on a monthly basis

Who we think might be a great fit:

• Passionate about empowering women to lead and giving them a voice

• Must be tech savvy and interested in working at a tech startup (always learning about new apps, a wiz on the computer)

• Must live and breathe people interaction and social media engagement, a true social butterfly (being a social influencer yourself would be a big plus!)

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field (not you? still apply!)

• Comfortable with design software (a plus)

• Great interpersonal and organizational skills, with a flexible, all-hands-on-deck attitude and high level of comfort working in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including responsiveness and efficiency in all communications

• Knowledge of Google Suite, especially Docs and Sheets

• Experience with social management and analytics tools (a plus - or quick to pick these up!)

Who we are:

MixR is an online community-building platform created from a female point of view, where shared responsibility, safety, and in-person connection are key.  We are currently being used to improve female leadership and diversity and inclusion inside companies, and to activate communities for non-profits and other female-forward organizations.  MixR was founded by the former CEO of Amazon France, and has a dynamic, international board of advisors that includes the author of Shakti Leadership, and the communications expert responsible for branding the Apple Mac. MixR is based in downtown Santa Monica.
