OVERVIEW:

The Associate Partner Marketing Manager develops and manages key integrated partner relationships by listening for pain points and opportunities to grow revenue within the partnership. The individual will generate, cultivate, and expand opportunities for long-term growth from markets, and partners while performing competitive analysis, track industry trends, and maintain extensive knowledge of market conditions. They oversee the launch of new shipping integrations using Stamps.com and Endicia’s API technology. The Partner Manager will apply their ability to identify new opportunities within the partnership while driving profitability of key programs. This position reports to the Director, Partner Management.

The Stamps.com partner management/Business Development team is an enthusiastic group within the marketing department who is responsible for building strong relationships with our network of 400 partners. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Objectives:

  1. Build strong relationships and trust with marketing executives and management within assigned partners.
  2. Engage with each partner to understand their unique needs and use of shipping technology products and the factors driving their choices for those products and carriers.
  3. Grow the revenue of assigned partners.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative design, web development, business intelligence) to balance competing projects and with partner management objectives to ensure projects are completed on time.
  5. Ensure the effectiveness of product material working closely with business development and marketing.


Essential Position Duties:

  • Build relationships with marketing executives and management within the partner accounts.
    • Complete outreach activities via email and phone.
    • Develop best-in-class interaction with partners and ensure that such relationships are fostered in a manner conducive to the health & expansion of our business and our brand.
    • Be a subject matter expert for partnership-related integrations and ensure the integration process is smooth with limited to no issues.
    • Translate value propositions for our products into impactful decks, white papers, case studies, sales sheets, videos, and more.
  • Engage with each partner to understand their unique needs and use of shipping technology products and the factors driving their choices for those products and carriers.
    • Actively listen to partners to discover their product and service’s needs.
    • Manage and drive the partners in a way which protects and grows our business
  • Grow the revenue of key partners
    • Drive key activities via phone, email or in-person meetings.
    • Own key business partnerships to achieve revenue growth.
    • Evaluate partner capacity versus market opportunity and identify where partner growth is needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (creative design, web development, business intelligence), and own the success or failure of various marketing channels and initiatives to accomplish objectives including:
    • Implementing new partnerships
    • Communicating new product/feature launches to partners
    • Tracking results - Prepare reports and presentations to senior management
  • Ensure the effectiveness of product material working closely with marketing and sales

Additional Position Duties:

  • Sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Utilize wrist and hands for a prolonged period of time
  • Walk short distances
  • Stand for short periods
  • Speaking and conversing with others
  • Lift up to 25 lbs without assistance up to chest height
  • Strong customer service orientation

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:                                                            

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communication or related field.
  • Two or more (2+) years marketing and/or account management experience with a focus on partnership management or Internet-related products; with a blend of product and partner marketing experience a plus
  • Experience in e-commerce, shipping and/or SaaS products preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to identify new opportunities within partnerships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to understand our market and products.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional analytical and fact-based problem solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills, including developing presentation content and public speaking.
  • Highly organized, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Superior multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Self-starter and ready to work in an intense but fun environment with our existing team of marketing professionals.

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:                                               

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel ( Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint
  • Experience using productivity tools such as Asana, Trello or Mindjet a plus

Travel Requirements:

  • This role requires periodic travel to tradeshows and partner meetings (approximately 5-8 trips per year).
