Job Description:
DTN is seeking a Market Data Analyst to support the collection, validation, analysis, and interpretation of financial market data across multiple asset classes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and usability of market data while supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with financial market knowledge and experience working with large datasets. You will help drive data quality, uncover actionable insights, support analytics best practices, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of DTN’s market data capabilities.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Collect, evaluate, and maintain market data across multiple asset classes, including futures, futures options, equities, equity/index options, foreign exchange (FX), market statistics, spreads, and strategy spreads
- Perform data exploration, statistical analysis, modeling, and trend analysis to identify insights and business opportunities
- Analyze structured and unstructured market data to support reporting, research, and decision-making initiatives
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness through established procedures and controls
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to validate data inputs, mappings, and outputs
- Maintain proprietary cross-references and relationships between market assets
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve reported market data issues and discrepancies
- Communicate analytical findings through documentation, reports, dashboards, and stakeholder presentations
- Recommend improvements to market data collection, structuring, and usage practices aligned with industry standards
- Contribute to analytics best practices, standardized metrics, and reporting methodologies
- Partner with Development, Operations, Risk, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and workflows
- Support enhancements to data models, analytics tools, and reporting frameworks
What You Will Bring to the Position
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of financial markets and instruments, including:
- Futures and futures options
- Equities and equity/index options
- Foreign exchange (FX) markets
- Market statistics and pricing data
- Spreads and strategy spreads
- Familiarity with market data vendors, exchanges, and data distribution models
- Knowledge of industry market data standards and conventions
- Experience applying statistical analysis, modeling, and trend analysis techniques to large datasets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while working within established procedures and controls
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, and analytics platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

Compensation
The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $62,000 and $82,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
