We are seeking an experienced Manager, Technical Writing to lead and elevate our documentation team as we continue to scale our products and processes to support the growth of our next-generation cloud-native security platform.

The ideal candidate combines strong leadership and mentorship skills with deep expertise in technical writing and content strategy. You’ll manage a talented team of writers, ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables, and aligning documentation initiatives with broader product and business goals.

This role calls for a proactive leader who thrives on building scalable documentation frameworks, collaborating with product and engineering leadership, and exploring new tools and technologies like in-product answer bots and AI-assisted content analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team of technical writers, providing guidance and ensuring high-quality output.

• Train and develop level 1 writers to advance to next level

• Develop and enforce documentation standards and processes.

• Align documentation strategy with overall product and business goals.

• Oversee the planning and execution of documentation projects.

• Collaborate with product leadership to ensure documentation supports product success.

• Lead pubs team meetings and 1-1s with employee writers

Key Skills:

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Ability to define and implement documentation standards and best practices.

• Strong project management and organizational abilities.

• Expertise in technical writing and knowledge-sharing strategies.

• MadCap Flare & Git, or equivalent experience in complex authoring tools and workflows (XML, DITA, etc).

• Interest and experience in other tooling such as analytics, style enforcement tools, AI analysis and revision and RAG.
