We are currently seeking an entrepreneurial business-focused attorney to lead exciting blockchain initiatives. The right candidate will be able to work efficiently with outside counsel to assess regulatory risks in the quickly changing industry and be a critical participant in product design and execution. The job will give a lot of autonomy and the attorney will be an important voice in the venture.

What you'll do

• Research all regulatory issues pertaining to the business, with focus on securities laws, Anti-Money Laundering, money transmission laws, and other financial industry regulations
• Partner with the business team in product design
• Assist with a wide-array of legal issues typical for in-house legal department, including corporate transactions and employment law

About you

• JD, from a Top-50 Law School
• 5+ years of experience in securities or corporate law; great to have - working experience in or with blockchain associated business(es)
• Quick learner able to pick up new concepts rapidly
• Able to piece together complex legal issues and provide specific recommendations
• Strong working knowledge of at least many of the following: Anti-Money Laundering, US Securities laws, US corporate laws, money transmissions laws, legal issues that pertain to blockchain 
• Integrity and high moral standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations
